Posted earlier He has gone 6 or less in 6 of his last 11 starts. In the 11 before that he went 7 in 10 of them. As long as he's not injured I think he will figure it out again, and I mean 5 innings of 0 or 1 ER is still pretty impressive. Yes, hopefully he figures out his command because I don't like the Rich Harden version of Arrieta.

Fourth time in his last 9 starts that Arrieta only went 5 innings.

Not questioning Maddon or anything but I thought his bullpen management was iffy today. Using Grimm for only one batter when he's still a better option against lefties than Richard and pushing Warren past 50 pitches in the 9th.

Hey, the Cubs might have a day one pick next year. The strength of the draft are prep outfielders and college pitchers. 2017 is supposed to be much better than the 2016 draft. Lot more potential high draft picks in the BA link (but it's premium content). Keith Law is very high on Vanderbilt OF Jeren Kendall and has said he could be a potential 1.1 pick too.
