  1. Carson Sands has been activated off the DL and will make his first South Bend start of the season today. ETA: He brought his wretched control with him from Arizona.
  2. While Amaya flying into untouchable top 5-10 territory for some off ExST performance was hilarious, more funny for me as Paredes' pro numbers and lower minor numbers get skepticism from same crowd, I also see a below league average K rate by 2.5% and an IsoSLG solidly above the league average from an 18 YO C. He's doing alright, could be doing better but not [expletive] the bed or anything (it's actually .204/.243/.340 with 23 Ks in 111 today). OTOH Ademan is having an outright strong showing in the NWL. Oops. Guess MiLB.com most not have loaded up yesterday's stats when I looked at it.
  3. Remember how fantastic Miguel Amaya was in extended? .375/.447/.613 in 94 PA with 9 BB and 2 Ks? Well, he's at .202/.243/.333 in 105 plate appearances with 6 BB and 21 Ks in the NWL.

  5. Jake Stinnett is alive! Threw an inning for the AZL Cubs.
  6. Albertos is actually starting for Eugene. 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K.
  7. That Javy RBI single looked like Javy's NLDS-winning single in San Francisco.
  8. I was gonna say the previous ball straight to Rizzo at the bag was fair but I'll take the 6-4-3 DP instead.
  9. Oh, I guess rehabbing Brett Anderson is getting the start for AA.
  10. I start charging mine when it drops below 80%. My wife might hunt for the charger when she drops below 10%. Of course my desire to charge my phone stems from having it at around 40% when we lost power for 4 days after a wind storm. So I'm not that crazy.

  13. If Uehara or CEJ gets a baserunner, Joe will pull them but sure, give Grimm all that rope.
  14. Nor will he have the ability to sign two years worth of big time IFAs in one year with the new CBA. And, we wont be sellers at the deadline. Well, they weren't sellers at the 2015 deadline but still had the ability to go crazy in the international market (and signed Albertos, Paredes, Ademan, Amaya and Sierra amongst others). The international market was the last place teams could load up on amateur talent without regard and it too is gone.
  15. Quintana is going to wear 62 with the Cubs. Should've traded for Archer since he wears a real number.
  16. Speaking of, Craig Goldstein from BP agrees that Alzolay is the Cubs top prospect: https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/mlb-prospect-expert-talks-cubs-prospects-and-chances-of-making-another-big-trade/
  17. And the Isaiah Thomas hot taeks during the NBA playoffs.

  19. it's funny I feel the same way considering we gave up what ended up being a future perennial mvp candidate for harden I honestly had to look up the trade to know who you were taking about Uhh... wow.
  20. Should be tomorrow. is therr any doubt that he's our #1? Particularly given Theo's comments today. I guess you could argue for someone with higher ceiling like Albertos (but he's so far away and had some arm problems already) or one of the first round picks but I lean Alzolay too.
