    I think you have to role the dice and throw him out there, right? Would today have been a side session for him? Just have Corbin or Godley ready to come in out of the pen if he shows signs of trouble early. Yeah, but it was far more stressful than a normal side session.

    I have my doubts that MLB is just going to allow a case study in salary suppression by just letting him go through FA. EDIT: As Grant Brisbee illustrated: [tweet] [/tweet] When Boston was penalized a few years ago, their international players became free agents and were allowed to sign with any team as long as the team stayed within the confines of their bonus pool. I imagine if Maitan became a free agent, he'd still be subject to the bonus pools.
