  1. The Royals used 2018-19 pool money to sign him.
  2. He was the prospect I was most interested in since he had the most glowing reports since turning pro.
  3. http://www.bleachernation.com/2017/12/05/obsessive-ohtani-watch-sf-and-lad-meet-with-ohtani-rangers-next-trading-ofs-cubs-chances-more/
  4. MLB.com's top 50 draft prospects: http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2018/?list=draft
  5. Wish he visited Chicago last weekend when it was actually decently warm I don’t know if it’s true and forgot where I saw it but I saw in the last week that Ohtani is basically from and lives in an area of Japan with a similar climate to Minnesota/Wisconsin/Illinois so idk how much he will care about climate especially because it seems like he goes out of his way to be home a lot. I don't know if it's as bad as Minnesota, but every article that mentioned his home town has mentioned its cold winters with quite a bit of snow.
  6. I wonder if they plan on using him as a starter or reliever, if it’s as a starter that could be an indication they are out on Otani Or they could use him like the Cubs have used Montgomery to help them go to a 6-man rotation.
  7. You forgot to incorporate Harper's name in there.

  9. [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet] Lol: [tweet] [/tweet]
  10. Oh yeah, Pete Abraham is salty AF there. Ohtani is coming over to play for pennies on the dollar in a completely foreign country. He should be able to do whatever the horsefeathers he wants to make the best decision he can.
  11. [tweet] [/tweet] We know the Marlins are one of the three. I wouldn't be shocked if the Orioles didn't respond either. Wonder what the third team is.
  12. So Mariners, Giants, Dodgers, Angels, Padres, Cubs and Rangers are the finalists, it seems.
  13. Chicago is out. The White Sox, that is. Sorry.
  14. It is one of the reasons projections have him throwing under 150 innings in 2018 but I agree with you.
  15. I think ODC starts in Myrtle Beach. Iowa: Alec Mills Jen-Ho Tseng Zach Hedges Duane Underwood Jr Rob Zastryzny Tennessee: Adbert Alzolay Trevor Clifton Thomas Hatch Michael Rucker Duncan Robinson Myrtle Beach: Oscar de la Cruz Alex Lange Erling Moreno Bryan Hudson Manuel Rondon Tyson Miller Jose Paulino South Bend (they piggyback a lot - some of these guys will definitely be in the rotation): José Albertos Brendon Little Javier Assad Cory Abbott Jesus Camargo Erich Uehlman Keegan Thompson Bailey Clark Enrique de los Rios
  16. Ugh. Why are you hoping Hendricks, Quintana and Lester all injected heroin in their foreheads?
  17. Girardi to Aaron Boone doesn't seem like an upgrade.
  18. Jim Callis tweeted that their actual lists would start coming out in January. MLB.com will do the MLB-wide top 100 list first.
  19. He was 12th in other prospects of note (in order of preference), rightfully behind Junior Lake Jonathan Sierra.
  20. Fangraphs top 22: https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/top-22-prospects-chicago-cubs/ 1. Aramis Ademan 2. Adbert Alzolay 3. José Albertos 4. Oscar de la Cruz 5. Brandon Little 6. Alex Lange 7. Victor Caratini 8. DJ Wilson 9. Miguel Amaya 10. Alec Mills 11. Jeremiah Estrada 12. Thomas Hatch 13. Nelson Velásquez 14. Brailyn Marquez 15. Cory Abbott 16. Wladimir Gallindo 17. Dillon Maples 18. José Paulino 19. Jason Vosler 20. Mark Zagunis 21. Bryan Hudson 22. Eddy Julio Martinez Only the first two have a FV of even 50, prospects 3-6 are 45 and the rest all have FVs of 40.
