The Orioles’ reputation suggests they won’t trade him in-division or to the Nationals.

It seems pretty obvious he’s getting a phantom DL visit before his next start. dang the 120 pitches really gave him shoulder fatigue what a shame looks like he needs *squints at calendar* three months on the DL Really frustrated Alzolay got hurt.

Jared Young promoted to high-A.

Still better than Luke Ferrell.

There’s no way in hell Trevor Bauer has a friend.

Erich Uelmen got to face 1 batter before a rather lengthy rain delay.

Well I’ve got good news for you.

I heard the Braves offered a $4 mil bonus a while back, but Carter and his agent wanted the full slot value. Wrist injuries aren't typically big issues for pitchers and are more worrisome for hitters (takes away power and can be a chronic problem). I don't understand why the Braves didn't offer the full value. If his elbow and shoulder area look fine then you shouldn't really haggle over other stuff. Anthopoulos has a reputation of doing this now - he didn’t sign first rounders Tyler Beede in 2011 or Phil Bickford in 2013.

Great year for Alzolay, ODLC, Albertos and Little.

I can’t believe how many pitchers are passing up 7 figures when we all know how iffy pitcher’s health is. For every Gerrit Cole, there’s a Karsten Whitson horror story.

BA is doing a midseason Best Player and Biggest Leap Forward for every team: https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/miguel-amaya-shows-well-rounded-skills/ The Cubs best player is Miguel Amaya: Trent Giambrone took the biggest leap forward:

He's the only Cubs representative.

Today is the signing deadline (5 pm CT): Not getting my hopes up for McLain.

Not my dream scenario... Not by a long shot, but if Harper got traded somewhere and then we ended up signing him during the offseason we wouldn't lose a draft pick (which is always nice). I'd rather see the Dodgers miss the playoffs. Dodgers are gonna win their division...by several games. I'm honestly shocked they weren't leading the division by the 4th of July.
