  1. At game time, it will be 84°F, feel like 94°F and there will be a 50% chance of thunderstorms.
  2. I doubt you'll see him till next year. Unless you moved to Boise. WTG, Marshall. :D
  3. Yeah, I was kind of shocked to hear Tree said that since he was drafted so high as a SS. One would assume such a high pick at SS would have a stronger arm than Moises.
  4. Anyone know Woody's pitch limit for today?
  5. I used to agree more with Hendry in the past, I think he has shifted in the past few years - at expense to player development and the farm.
  6. I don't recall seeing any comments like this during Dubois's stint as starting LF, or during Patterson's slide. Good point, Corey and Jason are not amongst Dusty's favorites. Neifi is. Free Cedeño!
  7. The coaches changed his swing this offseason, which I think is to blame for a lot of his added problems this season. Good luck, Corey! Come back soon.
  8. You could check out minorleaguebaseball.com...Murton has faced Olsen in AA this season. I think I have this right - Murton is 1 for 4 with a double against Olsen. Greenberg didn't start either game against Olsen.
  9. West Tenn: LHP Sean Marshall (0-1, 3.18 ERA) @ RHP Josh Johnson (7-4, 4.46 ERA) Peoria: RHP Grant Johnson vs. RHP Mark Lowe & RHP Aaron Jensen (piggy-backing) Boise: RHP Mitch Atkins Sorry for no stats for Peoria and Boise. My computer that can load the stats from BA or MILB.com is completely screwed up, this computer can't view the stats pages from those sites.
  10. West Tenn: LHP Sean Marshall (0-1, 3.18 ERA) Daytona: RHP Alfredo Polanco (0-1, 5.40 ERA, 5 IP) Peoria: LHP Rich Hill (Overall 2005 minor league numbers: 7-4, 3.50 ERA) Boise: RHP Mike Billek (0-1, 0.00 ERA, 4.2 IP) vs. Eric Carter - Billek = 3rd round pick
  11. ARGH! Fixed! You win some sort of prize, I don't know what. Too funny. I demanded that a lot of people proof-read this first, and none of us caught that. #-o It's because I was busy at work and didn't get a chance to proofread. O:)
  12. Micah Hoffpaiur (from Iowa) and Matt Creighton (from Daytona) are the ones who will replace Adam Greenberg and Matt Murton. It would be nice to see Luis Montanez try AA; I don't know what more he has to prove at the MWL.
  13. LHP Andrew Miller, North Carolina OF Drew Stubbs, Texas RHP Daniel Bard, North Carolina RHP Dallas Buck, Oregon State RHP Ian Kennedy, Southern Cal SS Jason Donald, Arizona RHP Blair Erickson, UC Irvine RHP/SS Kyle Drabek, The Woodlands HS (The Woodlands, Texas) LHP Kasey Kiker, Russell County HS (Seale, Alabama) LHP Gavin Brooks, Rancho Buena Vista HS (Vista, CA) SS Chris Marrero, Monsignor Pace HS (Opa Locka, Florida) RHP Chris Tillman, Fountain Valley HS (Fountain Valley, CA) LHP Aaron Miller, Channelview HS (Channelview, Texas) SS Nicholas Akins, Los Angeles HS (Los Angeles, CA) C/1B Hank Conger, Huntington Beach HS (Huntington Beach, CA)
  14. Serena has also been instrumental in helping get these interviews and we should recognize her too. Thanks to both DJAXX and Serena!
  15. Yeah, that's what happens when your 2 best hitter(Drew and Bradley) and the NL's best shortstop(Izturis) go on the DL. I feel their pain. Oh, yeah and that Gagne guy... 3 best hitters. Jeff Kent is injured too.
  16. An interesting choice as a replaceent. Congrats to Luis and thanks for the heads up, Nathan!
  17. Which means Ron won't be able to answer our questions. :(
  18. For carrying the Cubs offense first half of 2003?
  19. Heh, Dusty is going nowhere during the season. And Dusty isn't the sole problem and firing him isn't going to solve everything. Heck, it probably won't solve anything if you fire him midseason.
  20. I agree. I was willing to give Brian the benefit of the doubt after last season when it was a 2-month slump. Now it's over 3 months. In fairness to Dopirak, Moore is repeating high class-A ball after hitting .223/.322/.384 last year. I do ago that their relative ages is a point in Moore's favor, though. The age is what tipped me in favor of Scott Moore, but I still think they're close in ranking as prospects. There's no way Moore (or most players) can come close to what Dopirak did last year, and I think that gives Dopirak a lot of leeway this season.
  21. Thanks for joining us, Nathan!
  22. Which of the Jaxx pitchers enjoys hitting the most? Who's the best? Thanks, Ron!
  23. I agree. I was willing to give Brian the benefit of the doubt after last season when it was a 2-month slump. Now it's over 3 months.
  24. I didn't like the trade, but I for one won't complain about Scott Moore.
