  1. No problem with Pujols winning it, problem with him barely beating Andruw and problem with Derrek Lee being a distant third.
  2. Correct. Yet another great trade by Ed Lynch, especially since Aguilera got that magically 300th save with the Cubs in that great 2000 campaign. Not that Lohse has been spectuclar, but rather just another example of the Cubs trading for an over-the-hill less than great player. -Banghart I don't regret trading Lohse. Could have traded him for a better player, though. Same with Jon Garland.
  3. I think he'll need more than a half season in the minors.
  4. Ugh, not the way to start the road trip. Bulls down 19 after 3. :(
  5. I don't like players with two 1st names as their 1st and last name. :) Like Jason Michaels? youre a page late. and a dollar short . . . I don't trust anyone named Juan. Haha, I don't blame you.
  6. Jenks is around 4 years younger and has much better stuff. Working in MacDougal's favor is the fact that he hasn't lit his arm on fire. I laughed at that.
  7. That would be quite an accomplishment, and bad news for the downtown area it demolished as it rolled toward the Mississippi. Just wait for the New Madrid to shake again.
  8. BA's 2004 Top Ten Prospects per Team report. They said he worked in the 88-92 range, but could dial it up to 95 when the situation called for it. Thanks for digging that up. I didn't realize he could reach the mid 90's. In fact, he dialed it up to 96 on opening day in 2004 (in 30-degree weather). If it's Corey and Aardsma, I'm not complaining. If Hill, Pinto, Marshall or Pie are involved, I am going to be uber pissed.
  9. No fun. I heard Penn St. cheats and uses 13 players when they play but the refs let them off cause they're related to Paterno. I wish UCLA's defense would cheat. Then, maybe they could stop the run. Same with Mizzou or MSU. :( What's sad is that the UCLA DL has the potential to be much better if everyone was healthy, but we've had some key guys out all season. Now, we have 3 under-sized true freshman in our rotation (and we lost our best true freshman in the Oklahoma game). Injuries happen, but I can't help but wonder how well the defense would play if they had the regulars.
  10. Miss TJ Parker much? Where is he?

  12. That's about the best news one could expect from Cedric's injury. Hopefully TJ and the original Adrian Peterson can hold up during the next few weeks.
  13. Very nice, thanks Jon.
  14. Not to speak for Raisin, but what gets me is that ND is the highest ranked team with 2 losses, and they have possibly the worst profile to show for it. At least O$U, Auburn, and Georgia have wins over good teams, and the worst of the losses that OSU, Georgia, or Auburn(who really has no business being above UCLA) have suffered is Georgia Tech. Exactly. There's Ohio State - lost to Texas and Penn State - and then there's Notre Dame - lost to USC and Michigan State. Why is OSU behind ND? ND shouldn't be the highest 2-loss team around. I'm miffed at Auburn being ahead of UCLA too.
  15. UCLA tips off the regular season on Tuesday against New Mexico State at Pauley. Time to brush off a new avatar. :)
  16. Dodger fans have had their pitchforks and torches ready since McCourt bought the team and DePo took charge.
  17. Or you could hate us all. :D
  18. I personally do not like them. They're awful.
  19. Quite a contrast in the games my two teams played this weekend: Cody Pickett, SF: 1/13, 28 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT Kyle Orton, Chi: 8/13, 67 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT Drew Olson, UCLA: 22/27, 510 yards, 5 TD, 0 INT Orton and Pickett combined for less yards than Olson threw in any quarter of yesterday's UCLA game.
  20. The LA media and fans will be all over McCourt (they already have).
  21. MRI on Monday, I believe. He said he didn't hear a pop and didn't think he'd be out for the season. http://sfgate.com/c/pictures/2005/11/14/sp_49ers_bears_3.jpg
  22. Edinger sucks. Sure, he makes one but he missed the first two then almost cost them when he kicked the ball out of bounds. I'm gald that he's not on the team anymore. I meant the kick was good. Believe me, I know about his suckage, I was sure he was going to miss.
  23. Wow, Edinger is good. Vikes lead it 24-21 with :10 left.
  24. It'll come down to Edinger.
