  1. Yep, thanks Ron. Jaxx up 3-1 in the bottom of the 8th. Moore sounds to be ok. Ron said Moore was mad when Rohlicek hit him - what was his reaction (sorry, I missed it while watching the Bulls choke)? Clay Rapada gives up a 3-run HR to blow the save. :( 4-3, Huntsville leads it.
  2. Bulls have shot terrible. It has to be under 40%. The Heat haven't played well up until their little run right here. The big problem was when the Bulls were winning 55-50, they didnt score for four minutes. That's when they needed to go on a run and they didn't, and that is a big reason why, imo, they'll lose this game. That and playing like crap to start the 4th quarter too.
  3. I'm watching a quarter of a Cavs game just for that.
  4. Hinrich held on the inbounds, no call. Then they call Chandler for the offensive foul. BS.
  5. Awful, awful 4th quarter. :(
  6. Ugh, Bulls playing like crap to start the quarter.
  7. Shaq certainly helps in that department.
  8. The refs should just wear Heat jerseys. Ridiculous.
  9. The Jaxx tie it up in the 6th on a Chris Walker single, a wild pitch and an RBI double by Eric Patterson. 1-1 in the 7th.
  10. Was that a car commercial during the game? Wow, how lame.
  11. Gah, the Bulls can't stop Antoine Walker. All he's doing is driving in. Geez.
  12. Iowa ends up losing 9-1, Peoria loses 1-0. SWM scored 1 in the top of the 9th off Billek thanks to a double and two sac flies. :(
  13. Geez, stop Antoine Walker!! Yay, Noc!
  14. Iowa now down 8-1 in the bottom of the 8th. Valdes (4 ER in 4.1), Brownlie (2 ER in 0.2), O'Malley (1 ER in 1) and Shipman (1 ER in 0.2 IP so far) have all given up runs, while Emanuel had a shutout inning. Right now, there are 2 outs in the 8th with 2 on and Mike Rivera is due up against Andy Shipman. Felix Pie is down to .272. The Jaxx are down 1-0 in the 6th. Chris Walker's single and Luis Montanez' walk represent the only two baserunners the Jaxx have had so far. Peoria and SW Michigan are scoreless going into the 9th. Koerber (in his 2006 debut) and Billek have continued Veal's shutout.
  15. Especially with the game being in Miami.
  16. Haha, the refs suck.
  17. What does that mean? Means that he came advertised as the next great thing but can't get it together at the major league level. I know Guzman's sample size is small to this point, but I see similarities nonetheless. Great arm strength but too much nibbling, too many walks, little confidence. He wasn't ready to be promoted and you've already decided what his career path will be like after 2 big league starts?
  18. Hey Carlos, thank you for taking your time to answer our questions! Do you think it's easier to convert from catcher to pitcher as opposed to any other position to pitcher? The Cubs have talked about you possibly being a future closer. What would you prefer, starting or relieving? Keep up the good work in West Tenn!
  19. Thanks for taking your time to answer our questions, David. First of all, how did it feel to get traded from the Giants system to the Cubs last season? Last season, your velocity on your fastball was reportedly down, but it has returned to form this season. Do you know why it was down last season and how it came back this season? I hope you're back with the big league team soon!
  20. Yup, that's the hope. He was struggling at AAA, he's obviously still working back from the missed time (which is why I was hoping the Cubs wouldn't promote him yet).
