  1. If they're actually gonna try for it, that's the right strategy.
  2. Trying to get the ball back with time.
  3. Considering fields has been under pressure on every deep drop back I don’t mind a screen there. A sack takes you out of FG range and Fields is starting to get into that deer in headlights mode. Yea, and with the success and frequency which the Giants have brought pressure. I'm okay there. More frustrated they didnt do much the first 6 plays.
  4. When the D isn't gonna defend it... Even if they adjust to the bootleg they can’t stop Barkley. Checkmate. I mean obviously Barkley is good enough to beat the Bears, but Jones is walking into the endzone untouched.
  5. When the D isn't gonna defend it...
  6. Bringing heat on 3 and 20 was kinda dumb by Wink ans Getsy anticipated it. Nice use of screen.
  7. This is my Justin Fields. Wooowww
  8. Backside contain, what is it?
  9. Any if you guys in Columbia Missouri...?
  10. This is why fishing tall tales are the best. Obviously exaggerated and a lie, but only one's fragile sense of accomplishment at stake, not thousands of dollars.
  11. Best case impact could be KR* *if he finally just kneels it down.
  12. Apparently they use the same turf as the Bengals. Have they had issues too? I know if you poke around there are some articles that study injury correlation by field. Turf is generally worse, but I wonder how New York measures up.. https://en.as.com/nfl/what-nfl-stadiums-have-real-grass-what-kind-of-grass-do-they-have-n/
  13. Scorigami, can't complain.
  14. Holy horsefeathers, Bears Twitter account got hacked and is posting a bunch of Dick selfies.
  15. I don't really get having challenges instead of just going full-automated. In all sports, I am generally in favor of being able to challenge bad calls, but the actual review process sucks. Having the game pause for the review isn't fun. There are even times when I have wondered if I would rather just go back to no reviews (especially in basketball, or when football first started reviewing every touchdown). But with balls and strikes, I feel like it is the one situation where you can just immediately have the call be correct and we won't have the need for challenges. 100%. If some sort of challenge system is gonna exist it should be rarely enough used where gameplan is rarely interrupted. Part of that is a very narrow focus of what can be challenged and making it painful to challenge a call that doesn't get overturned. Any automated review system a sport can implement that more or less works within the game flow, fine. Otherwise let it go, IMO. Football wise, the rebooted XFL looked like it had the right idea.
  16. Just wait til we get orange helmets later this year. *popcorn gif*
  17. It's 2022 and people are still "yea but if you take away the big gains"-ing to averages.
  18. Their depth chart lists Richie James, Wan'Dale Robinson and David Sills as their starting WRs. Weird because Toney, Golladay and Slayton are still on the roster but they all appear to be in the doghouse. Toney has been battling some injuries.
  19. Bears might try to stack the box like the Giants, but even then will it work? Iffy. Jones can run too. It feels kind of similar to the Bears. Which QB with a questionable future and limited talent can be carried to a win with the run game. They can probably afford to stack the box if Jaylon Johnson is back. Otherwise I don't think there's any chance our secondary is good enough to be selling out against the run. Interestingling Thomas was in a lot last week at Sam, nearly have their snaps ended up being in base. That right yjete is probably an indication they don't love DB room sans Johnson because I don't think they were preoccupied with the threat of Texans run game, yet still felt base was best nearly half the time.
  20. Yea, I've seen multiple OLine dudes on Twitter rave about Jenkins compared to Patrick.
  21. gameplan for fields: 8 men in the box to stuff the run= blowout giants win Especially if Getsy capitualtes. If they really run into stuffed 8-9 man boxes, you keep taking shots until it finds success and you reboot Fields brain or he throws 6 picks. Whichever comes first is fine. That's actually my only straw to grasp at from Sunday (and this is definitely heavy cope reasoning) is that Lovie is pretty stubborn and never gonna come off cover 2 and basically conceded the run game. Against a DC who might be more willing to adjust in the face of 150+ rushing yards, maybe Getsy can find a hole to exploit that actually involves Fields arm.
