    Just saw a rumor Caserio may be gone too. So it'd at least be a whole new ship and totally clean slate.

    This is what worries me. He was cut because he's a 5'9 corner. They are focused on length and speed. I'm afraid they are going to mess this draft up because they are so focused on specific traits. Yea, one of those things where you don't want to overstate one move, but also uncovering hidden gems is a big point of a tank since you're allowed to just throw horsefeathers up and see if it sticks. To just throw one away is a a bad look for Poles and/or coaching staff.

    After the MNF win over the Patriots it was at 1.5%. Yea, around Dec 13 was when I started tracking the odds myself and the symmetry to the final drive it what struck my interest (the about is doing some lifting there, but you can argue different models to shift the % anyways)

    I would say it's not the final exam, but it is a must pass midterm. Tanking was easy. At this point other than the Brisker pick he really hasn't added anyone that looks like a sure thing above average long term contributor. All his budget FA were flops. Gordon and Braxton Jones might be long term starters, but certainly questions remain. He's got $150M in cash and the top pick. Again, anything less than a 8 win season will be a failure in my book. I'm concerned he has so much money to spend that the talent to get won't be there. The result, Poles will overspend on mediocre talent. Net gain: a 5-12 record. They really could have spiraled themselves into a Browns/Lions scenario of multiple losing seasons and top picks I mean, NFL fans go through this every year. Literally just saw it again with Jags. Everyone said they overpaid on mediocre talent. And that's kind of true. They still. Improved 6 games. Calling on them to be a 8 win team is not a high bar. Go look at all the 7-9 win teams. There's still a lot of trash and roster holes on those types of teams. We're not talking about closing every roster hole or finding multiple All Pros to get there.

    Obviously it's been 10 years, but I'm trying to remember a case of a former HC coming back into that org in an assistant role. Wade Phillips in DEN; that was nearly 20 years after. Any others?

    I have to say, I was not a fan of him tanking, but if you're gonna do it... This is what you needed to happen.

    Shocker. I'll take Justin Fields and Will Anderson plus another 1st and some other early round picks. I've been clear about my vision for the Bears since before we even drafted fields. I want an elite pocket passing game. Screw defense, screw running the football. If fields is everything we want him to be, he can fetch just as much of a trade haul as the pick can Good thing Fields is fully capable of carrying an elite passing game. Just try and enjoy it when it happens.

    Looks like a direct spin off of the One Central project proposal. But everything I've read about that really puts doubt on the viability of the transit hub, which is the entire backbone of the idea. Now just throwing a dome over SF as well. Not gonna happen.

    Enduring the progression of Lauri and Carter Jr. is a terribly frustrating thing to watch this year Somewhere Gar's schadenfreude is off the charts lol (no he still sucks though)

    Lauri just absolutely posterizing Vuc is pain. I'm not bball smart enough to know if Lauri and Zach could have been a thing, but damn.
