  1. I don't care in the sense of like, of course if it's a 0-17 then it doesn't matter. But I do want them to be better. If they did go even like 6-11 it's because some of these guys are actual good young players. Even some of the non rookie guys are young enough and under contracr enough where they arent sunk assets you just need to drop (like Mack was in 22). And sure there's only 1 Caleb Williams in the draft, but like 1) Carolina pick alone has potential to get you there 2) Two potential top 10 picks, gobs of cap space, an few extra day 2/3 pick in 24/25... They actually do have the assets to do good things. If they can't use all that to make a below average team a really good one, Caleb Williams probably won't matter, and they'll top out as Stafford era Lions anyways.
  2. I mean they did spend a decent amount of money on D (certainly not as much as they could have). But also, they spent more than the production they're getting (along with 4 top 64 picks over past two years). Of course, they put most the assets into all the wrong places, on top of marrying it with a D that traditionally REALLY needs the talent in those specific spots. So yea this D is terrible, and a lot definitely is coaching and scheme. Although obviously Poles can't hide from that either.
  3. Okay, but Poles failing writ large isn't an indictment of the value of Moore over a 2025 FRP.
  4. DJ Moore has two under contract years (prime years) for a hypothetical rookie QB in 2024 to have as a weapon. That's 100% more valuable that a 2025 FRP. To say otherwise is to fall down this trap about perfectly laid plans and "don't actually try until you're really ready to try" thing (more Process brain junk)
  5. DJ Moore was more valuable than a first round pick two years away, regardless of how he felt about Fields. Pretty simple explanation, if that were the case?
  6. Its all rotten The Process brain. People think you gotta line up a series of perfect moves that culminate around the chosen QB, instead of just constantly building all of it.
  7. You know, you're right, I didn't consider that 26 could mean the Bears roll off 13 straight, get the bye, and lose in dividisional round 😂. I assumed it meant a WC playoff win
  8. It's severe brain rot or just solid trolling
  9. Continuing to recalibrate until I find out exactly what percentage of this fan bases brain is destroyed
  10. Tom Brady probably would have been out of the league by his first contract if he was on the Bears. Granted Bagent is already like a pull of the penny slot bet, so it's not like there's anyhting to destroy, but it certainly ain't happening in this horsefeathers show of a team. Only sad sack franchises like Chicago fans would be pounding the table to see him.
  11. I'm pretty sure Sulley liked one of my tweets, so he's probably alive.
  12. Many of those resources at his disposal were because he tanked away 2022 so hard (whether intentional or not) Hey, we need one more year cuz year one we sailed it in so hard the first year! Just sucks. Was hoping to be wrong and proven a dummy, but not looking great!
  13. It was literally just a troll joke off a hypothetical that is nearly as improbable, my man
  14. Improbable isn't a strong enough word.
  15. Also 12 and 13 is a very strong point from which to wheel and deal from for probably any non-Williams prospect
  16. I agree with your btw, was just messing around on the Peterman bit. Just as a reference point, Howie Roseman flipped a broken and expensive Wentz for assets at a time when everyone wanted him to blow it up. But he's (aside from one week 16 game once) always trying new stuff to win and improve. And everyone wants The Process of the other Philly team that has yielded basically nothing of significance.
  17. Fields get hurt next week and Peterman has a 2017-Case-Keenum year. Oops. 😉
  18. Was curious how out this fanbase is so created a Twitter poll. Feel free to go vote
  19. I mean there's no logical point. It's an adherence to an ideal that is pointless. If they do fire Flus at some point mid-season, whichever assist draws up the most exotic blitz package gets the DC duties.
  20. Also, "we don't have the right culture for Jalen" 15 months into your culture building isn't a great look. Especially because coming off 2021 wasn't even a toxic culture environment like in 2014. Atrophying winning environment like in 2022 just sucked so bad. I never liked, but regrettably took a silver lining in tank tracking for #1 which just feels dumb now.
  21. I mean it's so much deeper than just one player, but yea.
  22. After watching Tim Jenkins breakdown, one possible explanation is a lot of no grades. The he pretty explicity called out Fields interception as a bad throw and PFF has no turnover worthy plays. So you'll occasionally have difference of opinions on assigning blame on a throw, but I tend to agree with Jenkins over PFF on that one.
  23. I mean, PFFs grading system is basically like any other scouting system ever created which is grading every play. Obviously not every scouting system is good and predictive! But to call their grade a stat isn't exactly right (other specific complaints non withstanding)
  24. Alex Smith would probably be my optimistic use case for Fields. He likewise had mostly bad coaching. Did have McCarthy as OC his first year but basically everything after that sucked (Nolan HC, then Singletary) until Harbaugh showed up and made him respectable and then Reid unlocked different level to legit good.
