  1. I know Baseball Prospectus has that, not sure about Bill James' projections Thats probably what I was thinking of.
  2. See here's where you have it all wrong. Bad players who make a lot of money are BAD PEOPLE. Bad players who make peanuts are nice and we root for them. For instance I <3 Augie Curse you Glendon Rusch, Niefi Perez
  3. Wasn't there like a high, low, and median prediction though, and this was Hill's high?
  4. Actually if they think that: 32 GS 213 IP 2.93 ERA 5 CG 3 SHO 210 K 64 BB Actually worse with the Ks though slightly lower BBs too.
  5. I considered making this a separate thread, but we'll include it here: The Official, Guess Devin Hester's Return TDs for the season. I say 8.
  6. Teams might as well start going for it on 4th down and onside kicking every kickoff. I'd rather trust Grossman with good field position that Hester with the ball in his hands anywhere on the field. I'm serious.
  7. Well they deserved to be visited to, I suppose.
  8. Hester 6 Returns 3 Punt 2 Missed FG 1 Kick Return (obviously, Bucs will only kickoff once) Bears 42 Bucs 0 Grossman 34-40 400 yards 0 TD, 6 INT Throws six picks in redzone
  9. morgan ensberg? of the astros? of 235/396/463??????????? i'll bet he could figure out how to play right field. let's do this. Ensberg's lack of power away from MMP worries me, especially if we get him to play RF. He's not a young guy either. Can he learn 2B? Will he come off the bench? Can he pitch? Can the MLB institute a short center like 16" softball? Lets explore all our options.
  10. I volunteered at a local VA hospital for a service project for 2 years and it was one of the more rewarding things I've done. Sweet Les.
  11. Some serious guys to look at there including; Lane, Ensberg, Broussard, Wilkerson, Werth, Tsao, Lopez, and Giles. Discuss. morgan ensberg? of the astros? of 235/396/463??????????? i'll bet he could figure out how to play right field. let's do this. career .270 .372 .486 This can't be real.
  12. I havent eaten their restaurant pizza that often and its been a long time since i have, but I can say although I don't remember the taste per se, I don't like it. There are numerous places I'd rather get pizza from as long as I'm actually going out to get pizza.
  13. Well I like Home Run Inn quite a bit, but here's my dilemma: When I'm making a frozen pizza, 9 times out of 10 it is a midnight snack and only for myself. I'd say I have a 50% chance or less of me finishing a whole Home Run Inn all alone. I can get 4/5, 6/7 pretty easily, but with the price of Home Run Inn I still feel like I just wasted too much money on that pizza I didn't eat. Give me any of the other brands such as Tony's, Tombstone, even generic store brand and I easily eat the whole thing. And I do not notice much of a difference between any particular brand, and its frozen pizza, so I'm not expecting much. Another frozen pizza point of discussion: How to cut your pizza? Fourths? Eights? Fold the whole thing like a giant taco? I'm a fan of fourths.
  14. In my house we had a fake tree for the longest time. After our fake tree broke, we went with a real tree for the past few years. The only bad thing was our living room was carpet, and old, so the needles would still be stuck in there year round. We finally replaced the carpet with hardwood, so with that problem now gone it will be a lot nicer. There are some negatives, but overall I like the real tree over fake.
  15. A few short years ago $17M for Beltran was pretty crazy. We could be glad we locked up Jones for $20M. I'd just ask the extension was worked ot before we made the trade.
  16. This analysis defies any and all logic, abuck. Hendry stakes his reputation on Hill long before he makes good at the major league level refusing to include him in deals that would have brought back much better players than Jay Gibbons, but now that Hill has shown he can be dominate in the bigs, he'll give up on him, drop him out of the rotation for someone with a low base contract like Wade Miller and give him up for a "turd". If you really believe that, be my guest, but don't expect anyone else to take your comments seriously. So if Miller and Prior are both ready to go to start the season, what do you think the rotation looks like? Six Man Rotation! :D :D
  17. troll alert!! call modzilla!! oh wait.... darn.... .... well in that case I can wait for Hawpe!!
  18. I don't like this deal. Theres not really any good way to slice it. I guess I just have to hope they actually found something they can change, even if it will only work for a shortrun. If theres a small tweak we can make and he starts fooling guys and some of our guys get healthy, his 7M contract would be cheap and it could turn out to be a chance to sell high before people adjust to whatever change he makes. This all has so many variables though, plus is contingent on Hendry knowing when to sell high so I don't expect much out of this. The rotation is filling up: Zambrano Lilly Hill Marquis ------- Miller Prior Marshall Guzman Mateo Marmol Should be a lot of competition.
  19. Just discussed with my pledge brother who is a Cardinals fan about this and of course he believes the MVP should come from a playoff team. When I told him the Phillies had more wins he said, it didn't matter, the playoffs mattered more. :?
  20. I think Murton and Soriano could play a mean left/center and right/center.
  21. There were reports earlier in the offseason the Cubs wanted a strong 4th OF. Wilkerson could definately fit that bill, with the ability to start if he does well enough (ie- 2004 #'s) He can play CF too right?
  22. I think Macier Izturis is a fantastic option for SS.
  23. Ha... That would be freakin sweet, we just need to convince them Izturis can play OF. :-k
