  1. Ravens select Alphonso Smith, CB, Wake Forest.
  2. *Minor* coke habit.
  3. Yes, I'd say it would. The question now is, does this change the Bills' pick at #11? Both Britton and Oher are considered a reach here, but will either be there at 28? I don't think it changes the pick, but I think it's worth asking before the Broncos' pick is made. From what I can tell, Oher is gonna go at 13 to Washington, so 11 isn't a reach, really.
  4. I like Thomas, but I'm not sure he necessarily is in the Welker mode, not as fast I don't think. Thomas is the top player on my board, so really no team could go wrong with him at this point. I also like Chris Owens, CB, San Jose St. Lets wait a while and see if anyone else chimes in though. Don't want this becoming just the dew and WF22 mock.
  5. Well I see the actual draft playing out where Jason Smith is still on the board, and he'd definitely been the pick then. With him gone, it was a lot harder to make a choice.
  6. I'm down with the Nelson pick over Morrah.
  7. Well OT is the biggest need and makes a lot of sense. However the best around is Andre Smith and while the talent isn't really deniable, I don't see things going well with his maturity level and that locker room. I don't think the Bengals will see it that way though, so I'll pick him anyways. Andre Smith, OT, Alabma
  8. So far Atlanta has gone: Clint Sintim, OLB, Virginia William Moore, S, Missouri Michael Hamlin, S, Clemson TJ Lang, OT, Eastern Michigan They could use a NT, but the best DT I see is a three technique guy who would duplicate Babineaux. Plus they have another pick early in the fifth, so it can wait. My pick would be to give Matt Ryan another possible option: Cameron Morrah, TE, Cal. Otherwise, I just say go BPA.
  9. At least an Orlando series had a chance at being exciting and stealing a couple games. Freaking Bulls.
  10. We're doing both. But because of a large expected drop off of participants, we were just gonna do a collaborative effort for the picks. Since this is your team though, your opinion would trump all, IMO if you want to make a selection for the 5th round.
  11. At this point I actually think its more accurate to say Andre Smith is underrated. You just have to make sure he lands in the right locker room where he can hopefully mature a bit.
  12. Huh, well I guess its Seattle then. Throw my Detroit analysis out the window. On the other hand, I think you could keep my top two guys around, Thomas or McGee. Those running backs I mentioned should be considered as well. I'd go McGee, but am open to be convinced otherwise.
  13. Wait, I just realized my order is different than yours, dew. I got mine from NFL.com...
  14. Detriot, so far has gone: Andre Smith, OT Peria Jerry, DT Michael Johnson, DE Eric Wood, OL Terrance Taylor, DT Jarius Byrd, CB Talk about filling up the lines. They could really go anywhere and should be thinking BPA. My BPA is WR Mike Thomas, Arizona, who shouldn't have fallen this far. Other Possibilities (in order of preference): Steven McGee, QB, Texas A&M Scott McKillop, ILB, Pitt Cameron Morrah, TE, Cal Rashad Jennings, RB, Liberty, Austin Collie, WR, BYU Kory Sheets, RB, Purdue Chris Owens, CB, San Jose State In our draft world, you could make a strong argument for McGee, since there aren't many options at QB left whereas WR there may be more. In real life, Stafford is probably the guy and this isn't an issue.
  15. Well, we can get the discussion started. First, the fifth round. 1 137 Detroit 2 138 St. Louis 3 139 Kansas City 4 140 Chicago (from Denver) 5 141 Philadelphia (from Cleveland) 6 142 Cincinnati 7 143 Atlanta (from Oakland) 8 144 Jacksonville 9 145 Green Bay 10 146 San Francisco 11 147 Buffalo 12 148 San Diego 13 149 Denver 14 150 Washington 15 151 N.Y. Giants (from New Orleans) 16 152 Houston 17 153 Philadelphia (from N.Y. Jets) 18 154 Chicago 19 155 Tampa Bay 20 156 Dallas 21 157 Philadelphia 22 158 Minnesota 23 159 Philadelphia (from New England) 24 160 Atlanta 25 161 Miami 26 162 Baltimore 27 163 Carolina 28 164 N.Y. Giants 29 165 Indianapolis 30 166 Dallas (from Tennessee) 31 167 Arizona 32 168 Pittsburgh 33 169 Pittsburgh (compensatory) 34 170 New England (compensatory) 35 171 San Francisco (compensatory) 36 172 Dallas (compensatory) 37 173 Tennessee (compensatory)
  16. To be fair, Andre Smith isn't a felon, just immature.
  17. With Jason Smith going #1 it just might be. We'll see how the next few picks fall.
  18. Yes, I'll take them. Draft Strategy- felonies
  19. Anyone feel like continuing this one, with a kind of collaborative effort making the picks. We could just throw around a few different options at each pick and just do a vote on who best to pick. I mean mostly it would just turn into a discussion of late round draft picks, but interesting nonetheless.
  20. St. Louis goes with Monroe here, IMO.
  21. We might get the first round in if we did it that way. And I don't think the first round would change dramatically. I think it would. I can already tell you the top pick would change, and from there, any ripple effect is possible. I'd be fine also doing the first round over.
  22. I'm lost at this point in the draft, so go ahead and take the Broncos from here on out. Hey, my second favorite team growing up, sweet! I have to do some research, but I'm just gonna go ahead and assume I'll be drafting defense. 3-4 scheme right?
  23. I posted it in the NFL Offseason thread, but according to Jeff Risdon at RealGM, Harvin is "dropping like a rock". He says he could go as low as the top of the third. I'd be shocked by that, but it seems like he could easily fall out of the first now. If he was there at 49 do the Bears take him?
  24. We control our own destiny. woooo
