  1. I'm fine with saying the D was only good yesterday if that's your only issue. Perhaps that's not weighting the opponent, but yea, a great performance doesn't include a couple of those plays. Which isn't to say this couldn't be a great D if all goes well this season...
  2. They were 32nd at getting turnovers last year and got 0 yesterday. May be just a coincidence. I'm not expecting them to be better than average at takeaways, but it is not the same defense as last year, and many if their off-season additions to D did focus on that.
  3. It's probably a good enough defense to propel them intp the 6-7 win range.
  4. They really didn't look great at all today, but we're incapable of moving the pocket with Glennon, either. It's either hold back rushers with their ears pinned back , or deal with messy pockets.
  5. But not John Fox's for the season. Seriously, there's probably 60 And who could do what he did today. Barkley could have done that.. I think he did a couple times last year.
  6. Lol I'm so glad I decided long ago to mentally check out of this season.
  7. Shades of the Titans game here, lol.
  8. RB check down RB check down RB check down RB check down
  9. Don't just start Trubisky. Fire Glennon to the moon. He's worse than Brian Hoyer.
  10. Tarick Cohen. Pretty fun. Mike Glennon. Pretty good blocker. Oh and Cohen is sitting on my bench in fantasy :?
  11. Well neither does any other team building strategy, I guess.
  12. Then the Bears will win some horsefeathering games this year.
  13. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/20621318/reform-nba-draft-lottery-voted-17-18-season Tank while it's still a viable strategy Bulls.
  14. You think Fuller starts over a healthy Cooper and Prince?
  15. Loggains is gonna throw the ball, don't worry. Sounds like Wheaton won't be ready to go this week. 3 wides will be White, Wright and ?? Thompson or Bellamy I guess. If Wheaton is out, is Tre McBride the only other active WR? Do you think Shaheen is 3rd or 4th on the depth chart behind Miller and Sims? McPhee and Wheaton as injury scratches Sanchez a healthy scratch Assuming no other injury issues, 4 more healthy scratches; Mizzell, Bush, Brown, Sowell would be my guess. I guess Brown could get the call over McBride since he knows the offense. Maybe the keep Bush active as they only have 4 S, but not sure who else - don't think they kept Burton to not have him active... Fuller if the feel okay about Prince's foot...
  16. Doesnt he only have 53 bombs though? Some of his offspring share birthdates, obviously.
  17. What... Too many questions.
  18. Yes and no, to start the season. The team is generally healthy, so you're going to have up to 7 healthy scratches on game day. If that healthy scratch was say, Ben Braunecker or Mark Sanchez does it matter? No, and you can keep Braunecker on PS. Now midseason if the team is banged up... They may find they can't field a healthy 46 from their 53, and they may cut Sanchez to get a healthy 46 on game day. Isn't the number 3 QB a "free inactive?" Meaning they don't count against the 46 man game roster and can play in the event of injuries to the first two. Wasn't in 45 active on gameday recently? I didn't realize it went up to 46 Yep, they got rid of the emergency QB rule. So if you want to dress 3 QBs that's just your 46th man now.
  19. I'm confused as to what's going on here.
  20. My guess is he'd have to be pretty damn terrible to lose the job in the first 4-6 games. Pace is probably hoping for sustained mediocrity and losing games by less than a TD (the John Fox specialty). In the weeks coming up to the bye week, that will be when not being good enough to win will risk Glennon's job, as the bar will be raised. I think a couple multi interception games could doom him. But some Hoyer-like, ball protection, 14 point performances keeps him safe for a while.
  21. i mean it's been said like 100x that sanchez wasn't really here to play, but to be a guy in the meeting room to mentor about what it's like to suck in the nfl and blah blah blah. his relationship with prescott last year has been brought up a lot too. i think it's a load of horsefeathers but clearly they believe he has value in that role as basically a coach under the guise of a fellow player. for whatever reason I hadn't heard that. seems stupid to waste a 53 man roster spot on a mentor but whatever. 22. yep Where are you seeing this? Keep in mind, the 53 from today likely won't match 53 on opening day.
  23. Regular season starts in 6 weeks it starts in mid october? what? Yea, they pushed up the season start to accommodate more rest, so they could penalize teams resting stars.
  24. Good chance he ends up on the practice squad I'd think.
  25. He didn't do anything to stand out, even amongst our rag tag group. I think we could find better production after cuts. Failing that, I'd rather develop Gentry or Davis.
