I was reminded there is Bears football tomorrow and that just doesn't seem correct, even though I know TNF kicked off two days ago. I've never cared less about a football season. Nature is healing.

Let's go AK. Make it happen.

This is definitely one that gets thrown around but I have zero idea to its accuracy. all the great ones that come to mind (and i get that this is sort of self-fulfilling as that's why their greatness comes to mind) did. peppers, strahan, white, LT to some extent, bruce smith Yea I think the self fulfilling prophecy is definitely going to be true here. Here's a list of all guys with 50+ Sacks through their first 6 seasons. 60 names, Mack is 21st on the list with 61.5. Perhaps ill do something later with this list and see how well they age (and maybe I can also compare to 60 great NFL QBs through 6 seasons and see how well they actually age). Link

Sure why not. Players still matter by factor of 100.

That's.. a take.

Amukamara was cut the other day, was he picked up yet?
-
I don't know if I'd call 4.2m dirt cheap. But they probably won't claim him on waivers so it should be less than that as a FA.
-
But he'll block Felix Pie.

Urlacher is like the least surprising Chicago athlete to be like this anyways, but... Here's some more content!

The Chicago billboard skyline will never be the same if 'Lach is cancelled.

College football hindsight season

Just out of curiosity, do we know what the positivity rates are at these campuses? I'm eager to see how U of I does with their seemingly aggressive testing/tracing plan. -
Shoulda just signed Bortles and kept the pick and several millions of dollars. Dalton Well he wasn't available til later, but sure.

But how many of those other reasons would allow me to harken back to my glory days as a 17 year old on the gridiron? -
Yea I mean, these type of quotes are usually worthless and the little I've seen from AK I think it will be even more so true. Doesn't seem like the type who wants to show his hand. That said, even in most terrible drafts there's at least some decent players so a little lotto luck to get your pick would be nice.

Honestly was probably in reference to a cigarette in some British based TV show -
Spurs?

Lots of rumors had come out in the past week that he was sticking around. So I'll take it AK found the mole :-o

Couldn't agree more. It's roster mgmt issue, not a gameplay issue.

Expanded rosters should solve a lot of the issues surrounding the long extra innings games and stuff. 28 might be a tad high (you don't want guys wasting away on your bench) , but I wonder if they could have something akin to NBA 2 way players with special service time rules where you could expand up to 28 players and have flexibility to pull guys up short term after a marathon 18 inning game or whatever. Maybe even have the occasional planned double header with expanded taxi rosters and then you're able to insert more planned off days into the schedule. As to the original poll I said DH and 3 batter, but I could be swayed either way in the 3 batter minimum.

Discovering yesterday that my bro in law has a set of clubs that he says he rarely uses just became key into my next steps. Now my initial equipment investment can be zero and he'd probably be happy to let me store them in my garage instead of his (and we're close by so he can swing by and grab them the 1 time a year he might use them).

Likely lending credence to the fact that this is partially a larger fight over athletes rights and university admins digging in and canceling rather than risk a unified players association?
