  1. Finally the payoff for all those terrible return lol
  2. Obviously process can be bad with good results, but wasnt it the Urlacher draft that Hatley did on the way out? Ownership is... Okay I guess. They did their best process hire with Pace, thanks to the help of Accorsi, I guess. Funny enough though I think a lot of people thought they'd go to Ballard because of familiarity and he's probably just as good as Pace, if not better. I'm wait and see right now. Toughest thing with Pace is the potential lame duck next year. Especially with a aggressive GM like Pace.. Who might be desperate to save his job... It's just not a great combo. So if they end up in that wishy washy 7 or 8 win range.. What do you do? Keep in mind most signs point to needing something of a reset or retool year too.
  3. Think it was the 1.2 Yards per carry average this year? They paid him $158,333 for each rush/pass yard on the year. :?
  4. This week's entry is about my opponent instead. Going into tonight's game (where he has Lamar Jackson going) , he only had 29.2 points and didn't have a single player in double digits, with a low of -3 from TEN defense. On his bench he had, Tom Brady (37.84), Nick Chubb (18.6), Ju Ju Smith-Schuster (13.7), and Boston Scott (13.4). Oof.
  5. I'm actually shocked. Didn't think Nagy had it in him to give up playcalling.
  6. Montezuma will get their revenge.
  7. I'm putting money on some non baseball executive coming in.
  8. If the receiver gave himself up by going to the ground it's a dead ball and they can call a TO. He caught the ball while going to the ground and the Jets touched him down before he had a chance to either get up or give himself up. It’s the Pats so decent chance the receiver would have known to give himself up. Gotcha. Yea the D should know either way, but sounds like it wasn't definite the O knew either, but it's not like the O had to get out of hounds like initially phrased either. I remember this happened last year with the Bears. Arob gave himself up at the end up the Broncos game in a similar situation, and when doing so made some incidental contact with the defender. People made a big deal like it was some genius move to dive into the defender, but really as long as he gave himself up, they could call the TO.

  10. I think Accorsi was helping Pace with the search for Head Coach. Once Fox became available (remember he was fired after a playoff run), there was likely a lot of pressure and "don't overthink it" from Accorsi. But that story has become very distorted over the years, IMO. At the time it was mainly speculated, but I don't think any reporter ever had an unnamed source or anything to back that up.
  11. You know what the next step is. Bears fandom just isn't ready to admit it yet. Clean house and rebuild from scratch. Does that include the McCaskeys?
  12. You don't know what the landscape is gonna look like in 2120.
  13. Bahaha: I so badly want to see them have to throw whatever tryout QB off the street out there on Sunday if Foles got hurt.
  14. its pretty stunning how a few missed draft picks can absolutely tank a team. I liked Trubisky when they drafted him primarily because as raw pointed out, he was a consensus top QB by the "gurus" (trading up was foolish, but a different issue). Its caused me to wonder how experts rate these guys, and why they can be so wildly off. Was there anyone saying Mahomes was the guy back then? if so, is that the pre-draft source to follow? I'm really, really frustrated by the Trubisky pick. I was bewildered by it at the time, then talked myself down to a wait and see approach. So much rides on the right pick for QB. It's not binary good team/bad team, but it's a big measuring stick. Every time I see Mahomes I see Pace failing to see that. It's what he was paid to do. He's paid to see that I think it's hard to be that binary with any single move.
  15. That's basically what I'm resigned to. I just also care a lot less theae days. Waiting mainly to see if they actually have a plan to keep the team in the family post-Virginia.
  16. My gut hot take is if they replace Pace, they have about a 60% chance to get worse. About a 30% chance to stay the same, and a 10% to get better. I'm pretty indifferent. The only thing I'd say is that him and Nagy are tied to the hip for me. They either leave or stay together. Nagy has 1 extra year on his contract right now, and Pace is headed towards a lame duck scenario next year if nothing is done. The back half of this season is pretty critical for their future I think.
  17. oh now what will they do without mitch? Its only relevant since Foles head is gonna be on a platter. Were gonna get Bray this week fellas.
  18. And now reports that Trubisky hurt his shoulder in his only play on Sunday against the Saints. Lol. Just pack it in this week, guys.
  19. Never doubt the combination of implicit racism in QB evaluation and scouts love of finding hidden gems.
  20. Well with that and Wims suspended, Ridley should finally see his first action this year.
  21. Rofl. Just roll out the full JV offense and run power I all game. How? Who do they have that can block??? No one. But don't let Foles, or hell, even Mitch, get killed.

  23. So every single offensive lineman on the active roster was a 7th round pick or UDFA? lol Yea. Obviously draft pedigree stops mattering after a couple seasons, but most of these guys were within the past 2 years. What's the least experienced starting OL ever in an NFL game? Leno will throw the average, but without him, they'd have to set some sort of "record"
