  1. Oh sweet summer child
  2. Counterpoint: he's ready now and Nagy is only trying to prove his KC cred by sitting him like Mahomes did.
  3. At least one spot is going to open up with an Jenkins IR. Thats gotta be a CB. And I imagine they'll be active on cuts from other teams. Maybe trying to work out some trades still? The ILB and CB numbers are way crazier than 5 WR/5 TE. I literally don't even know who Caleb Johnson is lol.
  4. Yep I hate when people wanna waste good cheap rookie scale years for a QB. Zero downside to trying right away.
  5. 2 picks and a somewhat usable wing one a one year deal for Lauri? That seems like a great deal. There was at least some concern the Bulls would have to take long term salary back to get a 1st back.
  6. Well at this point, I'm expecting Cohen to be PUP and out the first 6 weeks at least. Haven't heard any update. I think Byrd and Goodwin are fine as replacements for Miller. While Miller showed flashes he was pretty inconsistent, didn't seem terribly smart, and has continually had shoulder issues. Not expecting much from Adams, but if Fields is a star we'll eventually get to regularly experience that thrill of no name WR becoming household names and solid contributors. Even with Cohen still out, the RB room looks deeper too. Really I think all the skill groups got deeper. It's on Kmet and Mooney (and perhaps Montgomery) to elevate their games to improve the high end. I'm very high on Mooney personally. Less so on Kmet and Montgomery, but if one of those 3 had a huge breakout year, the other two would be fine as is, probably.
  7. I just can't allow myself to do that. The neighborhood kids are all now becoming Sox fans and saying the Cubs suck because in their tiny insignificant lives their worldview is whatever is cool now. 2 years ago, all the neighborhood kids had Cubs shirseys on. While ultimately I'll let them root for whoever they want to, I'm going to try my hardest to steer them to my teams before they get old enough to think its cool to like whoever their dad hates. Let the kids experiment with sports teams until about age 10, but then it's time to stick to a favorite team.
  8. Because I have children now so I need to raise them Bears fans because disappointment is part of life and being disappointed in the Bears is a great way to learn how to cope.
  9. Wait what.
  10. So I am joining a new league this year, which is a keeper league where the keeper value is based on the round they were drafted. In my other long term league we do auction/keeper and I'm able to set the auction value ahead of time so the ESPN draft automates all the keepers. Its easy and great. These guys are saying that there is no way for ESPN to automate keepers by round. So we just have to manually select keepers live during the draft and they run into issues with their draft because people will mess it up and try and select a keeper, causing the draft to be paused and even unwound in some cases. Is this accurate? ESPN hasn't figured out a Keeper-by-round format for their snake drafts? This is the most inefficient nonsense I've ever heard.
  11. Okay there's only like 2 Portillos within the actual city limits so that's highly unlikely.
  12. I think its just boche ball. Its similar, but I think whatever that game is called they used slightly oblong balls instead of perfect spheres.
  13. Not sure. I didn’t see anything particularly impressive from Mitch that makes me think that Nagy and the Bears were the only thing holding him back from dominance. He still had questionable throws. The defense gave him easy throws and he took them. But the media is already blowing this up but whatever. Yea I'm not in any way worried Mitch is secretly good. And it's preseason so I'm not too worried either way. But if you told me it would turn out the D is ready to turn into bums I wouldn't be surprised either.
  14. I only caught a little. But Mitch is a known bum slayer. So is the D a bunch of bums?
  15. i've been seeing a lot of people whose opinions on OL play i would respect say pretty positive things about borom in camp. it would be cool if he could win the job now and turn out to be a solid LT...then just throw jenkins into the shallow end to start at RT if/when he's ready. then switch them next year if you want to get crazy. but yeah i realize it's crazy to expect anything out of a 5th round rookie LT. In the crazy event that Borom is a solid LT, there's no way I'm switching them around next year. That would be crazy. Would be great to see a Peters-Borom competition at this point though.
  16. My default assumption is NFL coaches are among the most needlessly conservative professionals around and they're actually being nonsensical delaying him.
  17. Isn't that the crux of it? Every other major league/union has a guaranteed revenue share right? MLB has gone without but also not had a cap. If the ownership really wants to push for a real or de facto cap and floor, they're going to give on a revenue split right?
  18. Continue to burn through the video game create a players.
  19. Oh a highly drafted Bears OT has immediate health Issues? ALWAYS MY TEAMS
  20. That's my Quarterback.
  21. This is exactly why I'm only keeping one foot on the hype train. It's always different this time, until it isn't. But maybe this time it is. Its different this time though.
  22. This does not bring me any comfort about the line.
  23. Yep, honestly I think he should start or split time with Trevathan.
  24. We've never had Justin Fields before.
