  1. They don't have a seat at the table. So no?
  2. I still like my arbitration buyout idea. Will probably be effectively a big revenue sharing transfer between big market and small market teams, almost like the Euro loan model. Introduces extra freedom of player movement, and tamps down the advantage of service time manipulation (buyout amount would primarily be a function of age, not service time), but not leave teams empty handed. And it's relatively simple instead of needlessly complex. And maybe that could eliminate the pick comp model, which harms guys markets so much. Teams can just expect to be financially comped if a good/great player departs (maybe throw in a draft pool bonus on top as comp, similar to the NFL comp model which doesn't penalize teams/players directly, just a set pool for the losers to draw from. Put Manfred on the line.
  3. I hate it (only read your tl:Dr summary)
  4. Recency bias, bettors overreact to week 1. Look ahead line prior to week 1 had the Bears at -4.5. I think the best bet is the over in this game actually. Its going to be 90F on Sunday, defenses will be gassed. Bears better switch to their white jerseys for this one. https://www.chicagobears.com/photos/2021-chicago-bears-jersey-schedule Nope they will foolishly be in their dark jerseys. Weird jersey schedule...wearing the navys 6 of the first 8 games, and then only 2 times in the last 9 games (because of the throwback being a white jersey, plus the orange alternate) And they're not wearing orange on Halloween which is when I thought they always tried to wear that one.
  5. Had a hard time finding Montgomery on this chart at first.
  6. So the Bears D (I know the O isn't good here either, but not also the worst)
  7. If they were going to trade Mack the time to do it was before they converted his base salary this year. Not that they still couldn't and maybe it makes him more valuable since it eats cost for receiving team... But they aren't gonna do it. Really wonder what Gruden would have offered up though.
  8. same! Third. They are actually easy enough to exit out, but it totally messes up the "go to last read" functionality, and then I end up at the top of every page. That's the most annoying part for me.
  9. It was reminiscent of a solid Trubisky 2020 outing. Executed what was asked of him which was very little. The stats aren't gonna look good when receivers arent running past 10 yards.
  10. He was just banking on everyone trusting the KC process I guess. Until he realized that wasn't gonna work so he played him 5 random snap? Literally can't understand the thought process.
  11. No, the Play Action definitely isn't just a Mitch thing. It's a good cheat code, even for good QBs. Except for Ben Roethlisberger, even back when he was good. That's one of my favorite weird NFL nuggets is that it essentially works for everybody in the league regardless of QB and RB quality... except for that horsefeathers. Huh don't recall seeing that ever.
  12. Punter needs to put more hang time for his gunners... Oh wait. Oh no.
  13. I agree, all I'm saying is that the offense produced more with Lazor, regardless of reason, and there was no reason Nagy should have taken back over IMO. When Lazor took over the Bears called the most play-action passes in the league, designed to get Mitch out of the pocket and to one side of the field where he could scan the field easier and make a read. Maybe that would be useless for a veteran like Dalton but I'm just stuck on the fact that he made a quantifiable change and it worked. No, the Play Action definitely isn't just a Mitch thing. It's a good cheat code, even for good QBs.
  14. Paying Jimmy Graham $7M to take 14 snaps. I think they could have just given those snaps to Jesse James and been okay....
  15. #-o I blame Nagy (drove me to booze)
  16. So is the first time an Aaron Rodgers led offense failed score a TD in a game?
  17. Do you.. Personally know Dez or was this a Twitter exchange you can link? Twitter Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk Are you DJackson?
  18. This Bears D can't stop the Rams twice in 10 minutes. I get the 4th and 15 is like an onside kick but it was by far the right move by a magnitude of infinity. Highlight of my night is arguing this point against former Bears Dez Clark. But yeah, maybe not all the 3 & outs (actually 0). Only 1 punt. In opponents territory all night. But again 14 points scored is never going to be enough. And again, held off the board until the final 2 minutes of the half. Made a point to add a bunch of speed to the offense, but 0 completions longer than 11 yards. I'm not sure they even had an attempt over 13, and that 13 yarder was on 4th & 15. 19. It’s a rock and a hard place. There’s a 1% chance Daltons noodle arm finds someone 15 yards downfield and maybe a 3% chance the Rams commit a penalty to give the Bears a 1st. But a FG does nothing. Also there’s the fact that it doesn’t matter because the Rams are scoring on every possession anyways This Bears D can't stop the Rams twice in 10 minutes. I get the 4th and 15 is like an onside kick but it was by far the right move by a magnitude of infinity.
  20. I literally can't believe theres people who think they should have kicked that FG instead of go for it. Arguing for the past 10 minutes over text with a buddy. :banghead: Anyways nothing would have mattered. This D looks toast. How quick can they rebuild it?
  21. Positives. Montgomery is a RB1 (but not good enough to resign after 2022) and Williams actually is good depth.
  22. Fuller instead of Graham and Hicks please. Too late?
  23. For good measure even though I already posted.
  24. Fan service will not satisfy me. Fire Nagy.
  25. Not sure but its the game plan as much as it is an aversion to throwing downfield. Everything is out of his hands within 3 seconds It’s almost like they have two bad tackles I actually don't think thats the issue.
