  1. Bottom right of the post you want to reply to. Click "quote."
  2. you don't mind him? He's good, "minding him" shouldn't even be an option. I like pretty much everything they've done so far this offseason. Clark and Olsen are both good receivers. I'm fine with Grossman, Orton and a draft pick (2nd, or preferrably, 3rd round or later) taking QB duties. I don't like the talk of possibly 4 QBs, unless the 3rd and 4th are both non Griese. Nothing against Brian, but if you are bringing back Orton and Rex, there's no value in Griese this year. I wish they'd get rid of Archuleta, although I'm still a little unsure about how his contract affects the cap. He's good. I just want Olsen getting the majority of the snaps next year. He's been pretty good the last two years (a big 180 from his past years, partly due to Grossman using him as more of a weapon in 2006). I certainly prefer Clark getting time over Gilmore, obviously, and I see the great position we're in having that tandem at TE. I just want Olsen to be the #1 option at the position.
  3. You have to be kidding. Also, it appears that he's under the impression that FJM is a Cubs-centric site. As for #2, is NSBB the only place you think people would have those types of opinions on baseball? Really?
  4. Do you know how to use the quote feature? The fact he was referring to (I'm pretty sure), BTW, was that Gallagher has pitched above AA.
  5. Fukudome Those pics were from before his introductory press conference.
  6. Wow. The guy seriously needs to stop talking. I can't stand when people perpetuate ignorance like that.
  7. ? Why? Because they picked up the sure-to-be-terrible Colon? I understand getting sick of them, but over this move? Fixed.
  8. Those are valid points against the Mets, I guess. I don't see how the loss of Glavine plays in if you're replacing him with Johan Santana. The Martinez concerns are legit. So are the Hernandez concerns, but he's their 5th starter. How does the rest of their rotation shake out? Maine and Perez. That's pretty solid. Their lineup is pretty impressive too. I dunno. We'll see.
  9. I wouldn't say that. Midway (the airport) isn't near as bad as it used to be, but I wouldn't exactly call the area "decent." I'd probably say that you'd have an easier time getting to Wrigleyville from the O'Hare area than Midway, too.
  10. Heh. Missed it on the last page. At first glance, looked like it was all Rex/Mendenhall talk.
  11. Looks like the Bears have signed Des Clark to a 2 year extension. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=4402 I don't mind Clark. He's been a solid since 2006. I do hope that Olsen will see more snaps next year, though.
  12. Wait, wait, wait. If you had to choose ONE stat that showed how good a player was at getting on base, you'd choose OBP?!? Wild stuff, man. :) I knew that sentence sounded really bad, but I just couldn't phrase it correctly. :D I usually phrase it the "not making outs" department.
  13. Don't drink and draft.
  14. He's just not a very good fantasy player. In real life, you take him out of PetCo, and you have something. In fantasy, with 5x5 stats and the fact that he's in PetCo for half his games, he pretty much sucks. I shouldn't talk. I took Geovany Soto in the 6th round last night.
  15. Seriously, the Bulls started the worst sports trend of all time.
  16. Hmm... Clayton's article on it states that Rex has been signed as the starting QB. Not that that should take anybody by surprise, but it does conflict a bit with the reports we had been hearing that he would be signed (almost word for word) to compete for the job with Orton. Doesn't matter to me much, as I'd rather see Grossman play than Orton anyway. While Grossman (despite his huge inconsistencies and clear flaws) has shown big flashes of his talent, I have never seen anything to get very excited about from Orton (except maybe that one drive in Detroit in 05 and the fact that he managed to out-manage Favre in the horrible conditions this year). Still, I was surprised, as it goes against what we've been hearing from the local outlets. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3260592 Could just be an issue of wording, though. 17. DeRosa being out for any significant amount of time could seriously screw up Hendry's bargaining position on a potential Roberts deal. That aside, I just hope the guy is alright (as it appears he is).
  18. That sucks, but it sounds like he's ok.
  19. He's still under contract, what kind of pick do you think we could get for him? A 5th rounder maybe? I think they're going to cut him before his roster bonus kicks in on the first.
  20. Rex has re-signed to a one year deal. Guess he wants a fresh shot at that contract drive with a new & revamped o-line. We'll see if he has any receivers (other than TEs) to throw to. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=4400
  21. FWIW, I was drunk when I came home and made that pick (Geovany). Seemed like a great idea at the time.
  22. Huge reach but I can't chance it at this point... 6th Rnd 61. Garrett Atkins 62. Felix Hernandez 63. Aaron Rowand 64. Geovany Soto
  23. Not that I would advocate Pie for Roberts, but not if you then trade the other parts we've talked about trading for Roberts (Gallagher, Murton, et al.) for a good CF. Or just signed Lofton (is he still out there?), I guess.
  24. And, of course, one of them is firmly entrenched as a starter and the other is battling the organization's pride and joy prospect for an everyday spot.
