  1. Yea, Lou was saying that his fastball wasn't "there" after his start last week. I'm a little worried, but he should hopefully be able to pick up that 2-3 mph eventually.
  2. Does flashchat exist anymore? And, if not, is it ever going to again?
  3. Sweet, Reds about to lose. Never too early to scoreboard watch.
  4. I really have never had a man crush on a player as quickly as I have for Fukudome. Well, actually, maybe Prior. And Wood.
  5. Okay, I'm converted. I was one of those in the camp of "Theriot sucks - but he's the best we got." Screw it and just play Cedeno. I'm watching on MLB gameday - was it a well placed gapper or a shot over the CF's head? Gameday's dot - which usually shows where it falls - was at the wall. From the way Pat called it, it sounded like it was a shot over the CF's head.
  6. Seems like the perfect day for Lou to give Howry that work he was talking about. And concurrently give Marmol and Wood that rest they need.
  7. This lineup could've been flat out scary if we had gotten Roberts and had the balls to try DeRosa at SS.
  8. We really have quite a few guys with good plate approaches in this lineup. Fuku, Lee, Soto, DeRo and, to some extent, Johnson all really seem to know how to work a good count. If Soriano could learn anything from them he'd be a superstar as a player instead of in name only. HOORAY A RUN
  9. I'd say pretty average. Not quite as accurate with his curveball as he needs to be to really be effective, but at least a little better than before. Hope he figures it out. Thanks.
  10. How is Lilly's stuff looking? Better than the first time out?
  11. Hughes drives me nuts when he gets excited like that.. I hate hearing the games on the radio.
  12. Ball 4 I like this patience thing. Keep it up.
  13. Seriously, nobody loves Ronny Cedeno. They'd just rather see the better option play, much like what happened with Theriot and Izturis last year. It's pretty damn clear that nobody here loves Theriot, right? (Well, for the most part, at least...)
  14. As long as Rey Rnez is nowhere to be found.
  15. His wrist made its official comeback last September, if you ask me.
  16. I get what you're saying, but .317/.400/.513/.913 say, "Hi."
  17. I understand we're "playing the percentages" here, but how the hell is Pie supposed to learn to hit lefties if he never faces them? Seems pretty counter-intuitive to me. I can live with him never learning to hit lefties if we always have a reasonably good righty option in CF. Nothing wrong with a good l/r platoon, especially when the "main" guy is a lefty. His usual days off will just come against the lefties.
  18. Pie was never going to start against lefties once we got Johnson, which is fine by me. We've been hearing that Pie might've gotten the last two days off in part because of the sore wrist from the beaning. We won't really get to see if he's fallen out of favor until two games from now, because I believe we're facing lefties both today and the next game.
