  1. Enough discourse about training camp interceptions, missed practices, preseason YAC, and whatever other nonsense. Worst discourse that ever discoursed. It's time to watch Justin Fields take the leap and be what we've all been waiting basically our entire lives for. Bears are anywhere from 1.5 - 2 pt favorites, depending on the book (and juice).
  2. now this i can get behind
  3. Who is "we?" A decent amount of people here aren't dumb, so I'd imagine many here (myself included) are in the camp of playing anyone important as little as possible in the preseason. (Also, that's not the same thing as the stupidity of Nagy not giving Fields any reps with the starters in camp.) If anything, I was annoyed that Eberflus wanted to play guys more. Anyway, what raw said.
  4. Just stuff I noticed he liked and/or followed a couple years ago, esp around the height of the pandemic. I honestly don't remember specifically. Just remember being put off and/or surprised. I don't remember anything super extreme or egregious... but enough for me to be pretty sure he didn't quit because of PTR's political ties. His account has zero likes or follows now so 🤷‍♂️
  5. I mean, if he can work for Reinsdorf... I also don't think his politics are what you (apparently?) think they are, but he's apparently scrubbed his Twitter likes and follows, so I can't really show you evidence.
  6. 2003
  7. Let's goooo. Wish we had our IF defense at full strength with Kyle going.
  8. These blackout rules are so dumb. I'm guessing you have no way to watch the Atlanta broadcast, either?
  9. You don't see the difference between evaluating off of 4+ months/100+ games worth of performance over 3-4 weeks/20-25 games? And why would I side so heavily with a projection model that has Cody Bellinger probably with a 100-105 wRC+ the rest of the way over the drastically different (and precedented, to some extent - either way there are clear explanations for the obvious uptick) reality that we've seen over 4 months? Or one that thinks Justin Steele is an OK pitcher? The projection systems are obviously useful in a broad sense but you can't be a slave to them, either.
  10. Sure, except for the part where this is August, not April.
  11. All it took was a little positive variance to get us back on our game.
  12. Let it be known that like 15 years ago I had this exact same argument with him and that is why I (mostly) have avoided getting involved this time around
  13. And the record has improved, lol
  14. He's still going to resist it lol. He even mentioned that you like to call it "variability" a few posts up.
  15. One of the best blocking TEs in the league, has worked with Getsy and knows the offense. Veteran presence to boot. Solid (albeit not super consequential) add.
  16. I guess this explains the last two nights.
