  1. He'd be a great fit on this team. This is only semi-tongue-in-cheek. How long till he can ask for big money and the Buccos have to dump him off...
  2. I don't think it's too hard to make sense of losing 4 to the best team in the NL, then turning around and beating one of the worst teams in the NL a couple times in a row ('cuz after all the trades n' injuries, the Braves are now surely one of the NL's worst). I'm looking at the Crew's upcoming schedule. It's incredibly easy so the Brewers should be an auto-win machine all month long. I think he is trying to pretend that we aren't very good. You seem to do the same thing at times... (just busting balls)

  4. That point is moot, though, because anybody who actually believes that saying those things are jinxes (or that jinxes even exist) are batcrap crazy.
  5. Losing 2 out of 3 wouldn't have been that surprising, although unexpected, regardless of what happened in the games before. wtf is with people needing to label this as a letdown or something to justify the loss? They lost. Losses happen all the time. It makes a lot more sense to think they just lost for the same reason they lose all the other times than because they came off a big series sweep. God I need to stop taking this bait, but I can't help myself.
  6. Or just show how dumb it is to say that "anything but a sweep is a failure." Not saying anyone in particular... don't even know who said it. I love how people who are so stat driven and realists think that a fan on a computer have anything to do with an outcome of a baseball game. I do? If you don't why the hell do you care if someone says it? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. See edit
  7. LOL at people who, having seen all my other posts, actually think anything I say about jinxing anything is remotely within the realm of serious.

I love how people who are so stat driven and realists think that a fan on a computer have anything to do with an outcome of a baseball game. I do? EDIT - I don't even think UMFan meant that, either. Just that it's dumb to set unrealistic expectations. They're not going to win every game against teams worse than them. If they did, they'd win every single game.

  10. Or not. Soto looks really bad lately. Maybe just today? Last 7 - .350/.409/.600 July overall not so good, though... I just pointed it out because I remembered him doing pretty well lately. Ballgame...
  11. This was actually gonna happen before you jinxed it by saying it was. Thanks. :banghead:
  12. Marmol looks sick nasty again.
  13. Just one of those days. Have three more outs to do work with.
  14. lol what the hell? Literally, I turn back around and Aramis is up. Did Lee pop out on the first pitch or something?
  15. Kosuke has really been turning it back around lately.
  16. Stiffler gets the occasional role.
  17. As has the entire cast. Pretty much. Sh*t break has that one sitcom with the guy from Everybody Loves Raymond... That's all I can really think of.
  18. And yet, even if they were monumentally bad, they'd still win around 40% of their games.
  19. Yes. He's also the guy who nailed Tara Reid in American Pie. Well then. Man respect. Well, he only nailed her in fiction... Not that she's likely any great conquest in real life.
  20. I should avoid game threads and so should you. I keep coming back to them as if I have no control though. You're right. I just want to talk about the game, though. It's a damn catch 22... :banghead:
  21. No one is arguing this. When we're losing people consistently cite the numbers of runners stranded. It's baseball, it happens sometimes. Some days you just can't score. That's why in a 162 season, it's EXCELLENT to win 60% of games. I just don't get why people don't understand that. We just got off a huge series in which we won all 4 games and executed brilliantly. The chances of losing a game after that and not performing are pretty high. Great post except for that last part... The chances of losing a game after that and not performing are about as high or low as they are at any other time.
  22. So would I, but I'm not going to complain about it when it doesn't happen.
  23. Yes. He's also the guy who nailed Tara Reid in American Pie.
  24. Wow.. American Pie and ROY kid...
