Nobody tried to draw overall conclusions from it that I saw. His last 28 days are .237/.326/368. He's OPSing .694 in that time period. He has been bad RECENTLY. Not to mention, he looks completely clueless out there on some of his at bats. Swinging at ball way out of the zone and doing a little pirouette. For the contact he signed, he's been awful. He's an average outfielder, but he's making 12 mil/year. Yes, I know that's Hendry's fault, not Kosukue's but the reality is that the contract somewhat dictates expectations. I don't care about what he "looks" like. I don't care about what anyone looks like. I care about what they produce. People don't like strikeouts because they "look" bad, when the reality is they're no worse than any other out. Yes, Kosuke has had his slumps, but overall he has been fairly productive, and if you didn't expect an adjustment period for a player that is coming to a substantially more difficult league, I don't know what to tell you. Like I said, we've seen the same thing before with other Japanese players making the leap.
