  1. If the Brewers lose this particular game, they are really going bad right now.
  2. That's what I thought at first too, but now the full quote is on mlb.com- The funny thing is, he says that the Brewers don't need to worry about the Phils because the Phils are behind them and that they would only have to worry about them if the Phils were ahead of them... then he goes on to say that the Cubs, who are ahead of them (actually by more, now), should worry about them. Not a bright guy here.
  3. I want to root for the Stros to take it, but that's kinda hard when they're facing us this weekend. Maybe the Phils can sweep the Brewers, and we can sweep the Astros (after they win tomorrow, of course)...that would be an absolute best case scenario.
  4. Looking like the Dodgers are in pretty good shape. Just put my name in for their playoff ticket lottery. I'll be out there for damn sure if they manage to pick my number.
  5. I just can't get off that "setup is usually in higher leverage situations than closer" soapbox.
  6. Yea, move Marmol out of the roll he's most valuable in and use who in his place? The irony in this is that the people who have been in favor of this (not necessarily on this forum, but in general) want to take the better pitcher and put him in the less important roll.
  7. lol Angels celebrate clinching with a hose? wtf?
  8. I think it was Brian Kenny
  9. how many times has the number 3.5 appeared on this board since yesterday when pujols hit his home run? i'm gonna say 1,248. Well this time, the Brewers have already won, and the Cubs have to actually do the same, and in case you havnt noticed, that hasnt exactly been their thing lately. And yet, that means little to nothing in terms of their chances to win tonight. We're not a .200 ballclub, people.
  10. What are the matchups? I believe we have Lilly, Harden, and Marquis lined up for the Milwaukee series. That doesn't look good at all, but who knows.
  11. Well... we can make it 5 by winning the next two and then hope to tack maybe one on before they come into town next week. I don't like the pitching matchups at all for that friggin series, though. Wow.
  12. Brewers have the Phils coming up, right? Do they have off day before that series starts? Too lazy to check.
  13. It's not his fault he sucks. It's Dusty's fault for putting him in. Sort of like how it's Lou's fault for bringing Howry in ever.... But then again, it's not Dusty's fault he sucks. It's the Reds' fault for hiring him. Damnit, now I'm all confused.
  14. Better chance we'll be up 4.5 at the end of the day.
  15. Torres sucking so bad is killing my fantasy team in the playoffs, but whatever
  16. Game isn't over yet. In for another epic Brewer collapse
  17. Yea, you really are CubsGM Amazing that you're this bad at hiding it
  18. If I had known it was someone as terrible as Gwynn, I would've hoped for a K then a DP, but I'll take it.
  19. I'll trade the run for the DP
  20. don't they have better relievers than david weathers?
  21. i think the tape will lead them to teh conclusion that they should have CC Sabathia pitch to him.
