    it's even more irritatingly fast paced and low scoring This is a really weird take from a baseball fan of all people — the sport everyone who doesn’t understand the intricacies calls “boring”. Do you also hate pitchers duels? The beauty is in the nuance. hockey is trash. soccer is too. horsefeathers nuance.

    He also compiled those numbers pitching in Coors Jr. compounded with an injury at some point and mechanical stuff. It’s not hard to see where the bounce came from. Did he not pitch in Texas any of those first 32 starts with the Rangers when he had a 3.00 ERA? He did. Then he strained his oblique, came back too soon, and all that other stuff I already posted about for you happened.

    He had a 10.23 ERA and a 1.043 OPS allowed his final 5 starts with Texas. He allowed 7 ER in his final start, and then It took him 8 starts to give up 7 ER total with the Cubs. he literally said it himself and it was evident on video. you can go ahead and argue pennant race magic instead, though. nah, he just wasn't trying as hard in texas because he was bored in a potential free agent year.

    i bet it will. he'll be like "i'm gonna hit like i did the last time i was in the NL central." You should spend less time trying to be a smartass online and watch more baseball. Every year down guys take off in a pennant race andput up good numbers in places of past success. Did you say that dumb horsefeathers about Cole Hamels too? cole hamels took off because his mechanics were off and he was reworking them leading up to the trade. that makes a lot more sense than pennant race magic.

    I just remember him getting blown up in the Wild Card game and thinking 'are we sure we want this dude?' Whoops i wanna say they traded for him in part out of some sense of desperation because samardzija and/or hammel pitched like trash for them in their first couple of weeks

    I don’t remember Wims impressing at all: he looked the weakest if the bunch. Either we’re that deep and perspective belies reality or he ....... didn’t impress I remember the opposite.

    Really feeling like he's gonna bust. Unpolished product who can't stick on the field isn't a good combo. Nagy said after practice that Shaheen did what they were expecting him to do yesterday (in other words, his limited participation wasn't a re-injury or aggravation of his soreness or whatever). Also, Ridley appears to be on the way back (or all the way back?)
