  1. Yea. Even this game, I'd say whining about the refs is dumb. Theres only been one time I ever thought the refs were to blame for a loss and the scenario was allowing a untimed final play when the game should have ended on a penalty (this was a HS football game). Every other situation is basically entitled man child whining. also i'm pretty sure there have been way more times than your one high school game that the refs blew calls that altered the outcome of games. like a lot horsefeathering more. and calvin johnson definitely caught that touchdown. we can all go ahead and admit that now. the only reason the fail mary is defensible is because it was a result of that debacle with the replacement refs.
  2. lol in what world was i blaming the loss on the ref? especially when we're talking about that game? doesn't change the fact that khalil mack gets shafted on holding calls with regularity
  3. this is doing 110 in a 55 with an open container
  4. We saw Tribusky make the same mistakes, this is what has me down on them and, as you said, is very discouraging. They lost 10-3 not 41-3. Or even 27-10. The offense has to get going, and last Thursday sucked ass, but I still believe they can figure it out. They showed they could play offense at a very high level last year, no reason they cant this year. I wouldn't even go close to that far, but yeah, they'll be fine.
  5. at Play better this week, jerks.
  6. I aspire to be as consistent at anything as you are at being weird as hell dude
  7. pick up an OTA antenna for like 20 bucks on amazon if you're near a big city Or just turn on your local NBC station. The game is not on the NFL Network. that's what the OTA antenna is for who said anything about it being on nfl network?

  9. That's precisely what it is. It's part of NBC's SNF package even though the kickoff game is on a Thursday. I'm pretty sure they still use the same graphic, which is kinda goofy. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/sunday-night-football
  10. It's finally here. Let's horsefeathering go! at GO BEARS!!!!!
  11. can't tell if you're serious or just making a joke because lol bears kickers but i'm pretty sure it's not the bears
  12. Only boring Colts fans want Brissett to be the starter after watching Kelly this preseason. He has a ten cent head but he’s a bad sumbitch on the field. In college he had a higher QBR than Baker Mayfield, Patrick Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, Dak Prescott, Lamar Jackson and Jared Goff. He put up 762 yards, 7 TD’s, and 0 INT’s in his two games against Bama, including Bama’s last home loss. He has the third most offensive yards in a single season in SEC history. Yeah, I know I’m an Ole Miss homer, but good grief, a Chad Kelly lead mediocre Ole Miss offense put up 91 points in those two games against Saban’s D. Colts fans have already seen what Brissett can do on the field. His ceiling is being an average NFL QB. Kelly has the potential to be an outstanding NFL QB. There isn’t a single throw he can’t make. Hell, watch that video I posted. That guy isn’t some Ole Miss homer and he was floored by how good Kelly looks. Look at that throw at 11:20. That’s a Favre missile. Brissett isn’t making that pass. In the end, it’s about potential. Go check out some Colts message boards. The majority want Kelly to have a shot when he gets back from the suspension. I had never in my life heard of this Chad Kelly guy before just now, and I still knew with 100% certainty that he went to Ole Miss.
  13. I would argue that him having a history of getting injured every year he's been in the majors since 2009 is what killed him Yep. If the revisionist history becomes "oh, well the Dodgers broke him" it's going to be annoying. This guy had giant, blood-red flags all over his career and Theo should've let someone else give him $20M to rehab for 2 years. It went full worst case in terms of health (possibly thanks to maddon ignoring usage orders) and he was still worth like 5.5 mil last year. It wasn't some disastrous signing. And the injury risk was baked into the modest cost. If he had no injury history, he would've cost a lot horsefeathering more. If you wanna be mad at some horsefeathers in hindsight, the Heyward deal is right there.
  14. I don't really think that's all time bad. I have no problem with a big league player being pissed that the few other decent big league players (and his teammates) are being shipped off for the sake of a future roster that he probably won't be on. He was pitching his ass off for a team that wasn't trying to win. I don't blame him one bit for saying that. In fact, I'm not sure I'd expect or want him to feel any other way. I think that's more justifiable for the trade that actually sent Shark away, since the MLB team didn't benefit from it right away. The Feldman trade netted them 2 players who immediately went on the MLB roster, and even as soon as that year made the team better. it was a really dumb thing to say. I mean, if we're really going to do this, even in hindsight, Feldman had more fWAR for the 2013 Orioles than Arrieta and Strop combined for the 2013 Cubs. Even if that weren't the case, though, I have no problem with Samardzija feeling the way he felt at the time and I have no problem with what he said. I don't consider it anywhere near "a really dumb thing to say."

  16. That's not a "side" of kap, it is who he has always been and always will be. He's equal parts jock sniffer and meatball. it's like he took lessons on it from barry rozner
  17. he was one of the prospects we were rumored to be after in one of the trades in the early tank days. we were also rumored to be after jacob turner (before he got bad and we got him) from the tigers. I just cant remember who the hell we were shopping. garza, maybe? edit - yep, garza. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/01/cubs-tigers-talking-matt-garza.html
  18. and now i want to revisit the ben affleck dvd commentary on armageddon yet again
  19. Nasty. Hit 98 numerous times. Knuckle curve was nasty. The last two outs were somewhat loud (knowing what the park was playing like tonight), but whatever.
  20. Sounds like Cedric Benson was killed in a motorcycle accident last night. Damn.
  21. it's def dumb when playing at a park where weather is a non issue. i completely get why they do it at wrigley and the other places, though (so it totally makes sense that they're not doing one next year)
