they don't really need to make major changes to win We've been saying that for 3 years. a span of time which includes an nlcs berth and a 95 win season. 5 years ago those two seasons would be up there with the seasons any of us alive remember most fondly.

Yeah, he was... What am I missing? He was traded, but it was because the Cubs wouldnt meet his contract demands with people at the time claiming that they wouldn't pay him what he wanted because he was black Right...so, still traded. And the cheapness (not so much the racism) is kinda the same motivator here. So, mostly I'm just confused at saying he was traded and then throwing a footnote in saying he wasn't traded.

categorizing 2015, 16, 17, and 18 all as "mission accomplished" doesn't exactly make things look a whole lot worse. and the WS isn't entirely irrelevant insofar as it was ostensibly (at least partially) a result of being good enough to make it in over and over...even if it was in year 2 of that stretch.

a historic and as-fun-as-you-could-possibly-script world series and 3 straight nlcs appearances and 4 seasons of 90+ wins (including a 95, a 97, and a 103) in a row? yeah, ok, sulley. it was a really shitty outcome we got out of that.

Nobody seems enthusiastic about it, it’s been a rumor so it’s been discussed what would be an acceptable return but nobody seems to be saying it should and needs to be done. How do you know it will be underwhelming? There is enthusiasm for it in other corners of the internet. we beat Favre up alot at the end of his career, in fact we pretty much ended his career via Wooten Wasn't that when he was a Viking? Think it was an outdoor game, winter, cold, snow. yes... played at university of minnesota's field that was basically frozen solid and had been shut down for the season. after the metrodome roof collapsed.

it's easy to forget that the bears owned favre for his last few years. especially while he was with green bay. i can only hope we get to have the same satisfaction/slaying of demons of beating up on rodgers's carcass for a few years. we beat Favre up alot at the end of his career, in fact we pretty much ended his career via Wooten yeah that's what i said lol
