  1. Kwiatkoski deserved a game ball on Sunday. He looked like ass in preseason, so that was a pleasant surprise. I've always liked him. Thought he played well the last few years. It was just this preseason that had me concerned. It was a perfect matchup for him with a team that reliant on their running back. I don't want him out there actually having to cover people, though.
  2. That doesn't really change the fact that he probably feels slighted/rejected and wants to show Gruden what a moron he is. https://sports.yahoo.com/bears-khalil-mack-on-facing-raiders-ive-been-looking-forward-to-it-164737875.html
  3. Ross makes a lot of sense to me. He's tight with the FO so he'll probably follow their lead on roster decisions/player usage and he has both the respect and admiration of most of this roster. He's also not afraid to be an horsefeathers to them if it's called for. If magic leadership stuff exists in any form, he probably has it. And he's cheap.
  4. Uhoh...That doesn't sound good at all. Kinda worse than if he had, in fact, pulled a Lance Briggs. Hope everything is OK.
  5. Theo will be speaking today at 3 IIRC
  6. I'd be pretty surprised if it isn't Ross. Definitely won't be horsefeathering Girardi.
  7. I usually only see the late season home games as a big advantage vs the Vikings. Don't really see how it matters that much in late September (beyond regular old HFA).
  8. Didn't he drop a ton of weight to play TE and then got cut? Yes
  9. MNF has gotten horsefeathers games ever since the games moved to ESPN and SNF got top priority for games. I miss when the Monday night game was the marquee game more than not And MNF pays double what SNF pays for the rights There's a whole lot of other stuff besides just the MNF games that ESPN is getting in that package, FWIW.
  10. i honestly can't believe he's still employed. i remember thinking that 12 years ago when he was talking about rodrigo ramirez and adolfo soriano in the cubs/dbacks playoff series.
  11. did someone forget to tell me it's opposite day

  13. The pipiest pipe dream that ever piped. Leave my gf's nickname for me out of this please
  14. i'd more than happily take late career alex smith...just hopefully doesn't take him nearly as long to get there. and without the insane leg injury.
  15. it was meant to mean that Eli was hugely disappointing his first 3 years in the fact that he was just...mediocre. Now, Eli won a couple of Super Bowls-some would even say despite the fact his team was quarterbacked by Eli Manning. He does have that above Mitchell. But in the end, my only real point is if you think Eli is somehow an improvement over Trubisky at this stage of Mannings career, you're nuts. Or stupid. Or perhaps, full of gumbers pee balls. Eli was actually the one example I was able to find when I went looking for recent QBs who got significantly better after year 3 (this was right after week 1). Everyone else was basically who they were by year 3, if not year 2. alex smith
  16. Don't care. Just glad to come out of that hellscape with a win.
  17. what problem? and who said it would be? as far as i know mlb has not even acknowledged that it's a thing, so saying they'll fix it would shock me. There were a slew of articles in early August talking about how MLB had scientists studying the balls to find out what's going on. I can't imagine that they'll let these balls be used for multiple seasons. Steroid-era HR records are being smashed left and right. It's making a traveshamockery of the sport. no it's not those articles are [expletive]. this was intentional. only AAA and MLB have the juiced balls. it's not an accident. and its not a mockery of anything. it's awesome.
  18. Nico hadn't had a chance to hit juiced balls yet. And he won't be hitting them next year (if we're to believe that this juiced ball problem is going to be fixed over the winter) what problem? and who said it would be? as far as i know mlb has not even acknowledged that it's a thing, so saying they'll fix it would shock me.

  20. sooo there are holds that happen routinely that are like speeding 5 mph over and then there's what was in that clip. that play slipping through should not be an accepted thing and pointing out that the refs fail on things like that is something that should be done. OK, so this is a one-time rare call that needs to be complained about? Because a minute ago the complaint was "doesn't change the fact that khalil mack gets shafted on holding calls with regularity" no, it's not one time. i've seen a few examples of it since he's been a bear and there are clips online of basically the exact same thing happening when he was on the raiders. if you want to boil it down, i think elite physically gifted pass rushers probably have that thing happen to them an inordinate amount of times. it's like what defenders would get away with on shaq without a whistle being blown.
  21. So? Is there some hypothetical alternate world NFL where they call all the holdings that we can shift into? If not, what does it matter? He produces what he produces. sooo there are holds that happen routinely that are like speeding 5 mph over and then there's what was in that clip. that play slipping through should not be an accepted thing and pointing out that the refs fail on things like that is something that should be done.
