    As most people do, I think it's an eyesore from the outside, but I think it looks great from the inside. I don't care that it has a small capacity nor do I care that that leaves Chicago out of the conversation for a Super Bowl. That said, I wouldn't hate it if we had a building with a retractable roof, and I might be slightly more likely to go to games if it were. Then again, I also kind of like the fact that dome/warm weather teams seem to horsefeathers themselves when they come visit in December/January. I absolutely hate getting to and from it, but football is better on TV anyway.

    Are you for serious? The Bears were awful in the 70s and everybody knew it. The Bears were awful again in the 90s and everybody knew it. The Bears moved back into respectability under Lovie Smith, enjoying some really quality seasons but always a step or more behind the best teams. Then they became a joke again after Lovie left, and everybody knew it. Nobody is unaware of the Bears less than stellar history. Everybody knows the stupid 85 team being the pathetic go to of every sad Bears fan. yeah, i mean, they're not quite viewed like the Jets and Browns but they're only, like, a half notch above that.

    this spelling was so bad that it actually made me forget how to spell it. speaking of, what is the realistic drop off from Danny to White Nick? WN passes the eye test, he shows up when he plays and seems like he makes more plays then Danny. Is it WN's pass coverage thats so terrifying? trevathan is a very good inside linebacker and yes i think kwiatkowski will be abused badly in the coverage.

    Remember that Cian Fahey article that raved about how otherwordly accurate he was too? Was that the one about how shocked his teammates were at practice whenever he threw an incompletion? I don't know if I'd rather have it be that Pace and co just whiffed terribly or that there is a literal curse at Halas Hall that destroys QBs. I can't remember if that anecdote was in there. It was the one in this post. But the article has been taken down, it looks like.     Guessing that mainly just means they might occasionally throw them in to do something at the hotel or the rooftops or something.

    i guess it doesn't matter because people didn't really notice this but you'd think they'd use some kind of electronic vibrating thing that the hitter would wear or something instead of just banging loudly

    Yup. Big-time. Anybody passing this off as just good old-fashioned cheating has it way wrong. This is a different territory all together. It's the optics more than anything else; it's not realistically THAT much of an advantage, if at all, most of the time. It's more along the lines, IMO, of corking the bat, where the perceived/actual benefits are far more dwarfed by he risk/work involved. Without doing any research on the matter at all, I don't think that comparison is even remotely close to accurate. I think the sign stealing presents a substantial advantage and I'm pretty sure corked bats actually hurt rather than help (which you sort of alluded to), at least in terms of power/hitting distance.

    If the "old" part wasn't enough to tip you off, the post right above that is a pretty solid indicator that he was talking about Danny Barefoot.

    Some comments and/or questions: - Has anyone suggested rebuild? Those people are nuts - Don't *need* Grandal for a Contreras swap to work since the reason move Contreras is defense and catcher defense is cheap because because, but yeah he's the dream - I think 3 and 5 are by far the least likely as cheap and established middle of the order OFer (one of just two-three productive LHHs on the roster IIRC) and an MVP candidate are not players this team's in a position to move. Sure they need a lot of luck for 4 to happen but at least it's something they probably want to do - Bryant keeps coming up because fans are gullible and the owners control the narrative. Giving any credence to it is a waste of time and if it happens the Cubs deserve to go right back to the losing nobodies they loved being - Jo Adell is a fun prospect but swapping out Kris Bryant for him and another pre-injured FA pitcher is grosser than gross. Adell can only dream of being the player Bryant is, which says more about how good Bryant is than anything about Adell This is the most I've ever agreed with a post of yours. It also doesn't read like an insane person wrote it. I'm going to have to give you a like, damn it.

    kelly is an nbc sports chicago employee. she's on the bulls beat now, i believe. don't think she'll be coming, but who knows. i'm not sure what her contract status would be or how that would work.

    how does missing by inches make the wind less of a factor? again, not saying it's an excuse for this kick but are you saying the wind is only a factor if a kick is missed by a mile?

    there is no such thing as a big market team that is extremely unlikely to resign their own under 30 star.He appears dead set on testing free agency. How often do guys who go into free agency end up resigning with their old teams? However frequent it is, I'm pretty sure it isn't extremely rare.

    i'm not making excuses for him but at soldier field the wind is always a factor. doesn't matter what the weather report says. the lakefront is a different animal when it comes to that horsefeathers and the stadium design doesn't appear to help at all.

    I honestly wouldn't totally disagree, especially given how great we had it with the Bulls and how awesome 2016 was for many reasons, but I don't remember horsefeathers about 1985 so I couldn't care any less about that. In fact, those guys just annoy the hell out of me.
