Yep, I hope we knock his ass out. Nov 1st is going to be so un real. Is this the general feeling among Packers fans? How long will it take for these wounds to heal? Years. This finally puts the Vikes ahead of the Bears in my book. how? favre sucks I think he means in terms of his hatred for either team as a Packer fan.
With 16 games, it's almost pointless to attempt to predict win totals, IMO. If you could see them finishing 11-5, they could just as easily finish 12-4 or 13-3. A few plays either way can make that difference. I see them around the 10 win mark.. that could just as easily mean they win 7 games as it would they win 13, though.
Exactly. I'm not sure why they're calling it garbage. I wish the Bears would switch to FieldTurf like the Patriots did. The field is a disaster, especially for a defense that relies so much on its speed. Oh God. I'm going to assume you spilled something and didn't realize what you were typing. Have you watched Bears games, especially from November to January, the last 4 or 5 years? The field is a mangled mess of green-painted dirt.
http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/rosenblog/2009/08/favre-a-viking-thats-the-bears-best-offseason-move-after-getting-cutler.html One of the few times I agree with Rosenbloom.

I agree with your overall asessment of Cutler, but the INT% stat is a bit misleading. Out of that list of QBs, only three threw more TDs than INTS - Cutler (25:18), Romo (26:14) and Roethlisberger (17:15). Cutler's main benefit to a team is that even though he'll throw a lot of interceptions, he'll throw more TDs. Keep in mind he's still very young as well, so while he'll likely always throw a decent number of picks, he could still improve his ratio considerably as he develops. Plus those guys were playing (especially ROFLsberger) with much better defenses.
The backup quarterback does not matter. If the backup quarterback ever matters, we're screwed, regardless. Do you think Colts, Saints, Patriots, Chargers, Packers, Falcons, etc. fans are worried about the battle for their backup qb spot?
It finally begins tonight.... better than barely competent qb play for the first time in any of our lifetimes http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/public/86280/sched.JPG http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/cutler2.jpg http://www.everyjoe.com/expertfantasy/files/2009/04/jay-cutler-bears-zumasportsworld237187-20081214-jac-d82.jpg http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/cutler518.jpg http://thenastyboys.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/brian-urlacher.jpg http://www.mouthpiecesports.com/media/images/articles/t2.hester.si.jpg http://www.bearsgab.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/devin-hester.jpg http://www.everyjoe.com/squibkick/files/2007/03/lance-briggs-and-bubba-franks.jpg http://www3.pictures.gi.zimbio.com/New+Orleans+Saints+v+Chicago+Bears+7f8KMbbrX5Am.jpg http://i.cdn.turner.com/sivault/multimedia/photo_gallery/0809/nfl.week4.photos/images/greg-olsen.jpg http://www.windycitynation.com/images/slides/0000/0049/Greg_Olsen.jpg http://i2.cdn.turner.com/si/2008/writers/bucky_brooks/09/23/Awards/t2.matt-forte.getty.jpg http://i.cdn.turner.com/si/2008/fantasy/12/15/thinking.chair/matt-forte1.jpg http://hotdogsandrice.com/images/matt_forte_2.jpg http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/07ksgoa0RO7RL/610x.jpg
Well don't we usually do week by week threads for the games? I guess we could start that... or just do one preseason thread for all 4 games and then start going week by week.
What makes the situation worse for the Broncos is, if they do receive the first pick in the 2010 Draft, it will be going to Seattle in exchange for a second round pick. They will have the Bears first rounder, but there is a huge drop in talent between top 5 QBs and late first round QBs. errrr and yea, absolutely hilarious that denver traded away their pick instead of ours

Where? He's practiced against 2 of the best d-tackles in the league quite a bit and from all reports he's held his own. Everyone seems to say his understanding is off the charts and physicality is the only question. Seifert on the radio. Also mentioned that Pat Williams didn't seemed too enthused about him.
