There were a bunch of people here that thought Blanco was a good one. We traded him for a reason. Posters here got mad at me for posting the disappointing stats of Blanco after he got traded. Hahahahah! Nicely done. Stop being so pissy. Go Cubs! -
To put that convoluted mess I just typed out more simply... I, like I think most sports fans, would still bitch like crazy if my provider only showed me the ESPN/FOX/TBS games and I had to miss out on all of the CSN games.

I understand the logic, but are they really? I mean there are still far more games that aren't broadcast nationally that should be more than enough to make the providers feel inclined to pick up the regional stations. I suppose there's a small amount of people that would be satisfied with just seeing the national games if they could, but would complain if they got neither (the ones the national networks show and all of the ones the regional station shows)... but I can't imagine that group of people to be very large....

Are we going to get blacked out of the ESPN feed in Chicago, leaving me stuck with watching a crappy standard def feed of WCIU on DirecTV? I'm not even sure when DirecTV got rid of WCIU-HD... but it sucks.

Broncos have been holding out for a first rounder for him. What did Boldin get traded for? A first rounder? I would have liked Boldin better and he didn't get crazy money once he signed. If they released Brown to go after a top flight receiver, I would be happy. But from what I have heard, the Bears are comfortable with their receivers. And that is exactly the problem with the Bears' front office. You would have liked Boldin better than Marshall?? i think he meant as a friend ahhh... makes sense then.

If you are going to make posts like this for the first series of the season you should just stop posting until the season is over. Unless you are a Braves fan. Bum, are you taking on the job of telling people when they may and may not post ? If you want to make me a mod, sure. As for A-Cal's post ... if he is a Cubs fan then it is pretty pathetic to say that for the first series of the season. It's would be the exact type of downer Cubs fan who is always negative that I can't stand. If he is a Braves fan or anti-Cubs fan then I understand the post. Wow, call it a prediction. On paper, we have a chance in the first game. After that, I think we are hosed. Sorry if I think the Braves are a little bit better than you apparently believe. You don't think much of Dempster or Wells, eh? These games don't look especially lopsided... not sure what you're talking about. That said, I take no issue with your negative opinion or expectation outside of disagreeing with it. Pretty stupid to criticize a person's standing as a fan (or to say he must be a fan of another team) for posting a negative prediction about their own team.

They weren't really known as playoffs until they added the LCS's.

except his injured shoulder was his left so I don't see how the throwing thing matters all that much (yes, his triceps soreness was his right arm but that isn't anything we have much reason to be concerned about long term). i suppose he'd have to do less diving onto his bad arm at 1b.

I was at 4 of those 9 games. I want to say 08 was better just because that team was so much better than the 03 team, but both were amazing and pretty big in terms of deciding our fates both years. -
If the thinking is that it would free up $5M to use toward an upgrade at safety, like Atogwe, I'm ok with it.

Of course, it's the lack of draft picks that allow us to both have Jay Cutler and to have spent some of the money we've spent this offseason. Sucks about the Gaines Adams thing, though.

The two things have nothing to do with each other. He dislocated his left shoulder last year. He's dealing with a sore right triceps this year (IIRC, considering they're talking about it affecting his throwing, I think I'm right)... I'm pretty sure if this were the regular season, he'd be playing with it. I don't see it really being an issue going into the season, but I suppose we'll see.
