For those unfamiliar with it, basically they get writers from BP to do a Q&A, also usually have some top-level person from the GM's office join. Pretty self explanatory. Maybe this has been done. I feel like it may have been broached but for a site with as many sabr-smart members as we have, we don't seem to discuss the topic itself that much except within certain discussions/arguments. (i.e. I learned a lot about the $ value of WAR in the Pujols/Fielder discussions this offseason). Would be cool to have maybe some FAQ's or just an area to discuss the stuff on its own. It actually occurred to me because I was looking for somewhere to ask when/how the fielding WAR numbers (specifically, Fangraphs) began to be calculated/posted.

So, if you haven't been paying attention, the Reds had been stretching Chapman out to give him a run as a starter. And not that ST stats should count for much, but he was pretty much dominant. 4 starts, 17 IP, 1.12 WHIP, 2.12 ERA, 18K and 2BB. Because we all know a very good starter belongs in the bullpen in favor of trash. The same Billy Bray, BTW, who in 2011 held LHB to .180/.265/.292 and in 2010 held them to .106/.208/.298. My fantasy team says [expletive] you, Dusty.

Sooo with the opener a week away, are we going to set a rotation? I noticed that last year, the starters thread was started pretty last minute on April 1st, but in years prior it was started way before, so I figured I'd put this out there. If this counts, count me in. Guess I'll toss in the usual stuff... Starters will go in the order they sign up. Starters will start game threads until a game that they start is lost. This is for regular season games (as if there will be any other kind). If it is your turn to start, please have the game thread up by midnight the day before the game (8 am day of game for west coast games, as many west coast night games can go past midnight). If you will be unavailable to start (ex: out of town), leave a post. You won't lose your place if you get back before you come up and will simply wait at the top of the list until you do get back if you make it there. Guess I'll start a list. Again, I'm not sure if this will even be considered official.
