If you had to choose between one of these two guys getting 500 AB in the Cubs OF this year (and I realize they both may well play and that it's not mutually exclusive, but that's not what this is about), which would you choose?

OMG this is [expletive] great

http://www.bleachernation.com/2013/04/17/lukewarm-stove-cubs-the-very-early-frontrunner-for-david-price/ Olney has the Cubs as his early front runners for Price. http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/blog/_/name/olney_buster/id/9177341/teams-lining-trade-david-price-giancarlo-stanton-mlb - for any with Insiders...the rest of us will have to just go off of what Brett has to say. ZOMG that's just disgusting

Just wondering if there's a setting in the bb software that can be changed that will make external links posted on NSBB open in a new tab (or window). I'm guessing most would be in favor of this but what do I know. It seems every other forum/blog I'm on, if you click a link, it'll open in a separate tab. In NSBB it stays in the same tab, so typically I'll just right click "open new tab." Not a big deal.

Thought I'd keep this going now that the season is here (for a baseline), even though it's a couple of days late. You determine what a "good job" is. Just be consistent in applying it. And if not, does anybody want to?

Corey Brock ‏@FollowThePadres The #Padres have dealt Minor League INF Jose Dore to #Cubs for a PTBNL or cash. An 8th round pick in '10, a .222 hitter in 3 seasons. 3 seasons is a bit misleading. has only really played one year. 2010 he played 4 games after signing, 2012 he missed all but 9 games.

http://www.bleachernation.com/2013/02/28/source-cubs-seriously-exploring-branding-changes-including-new-logo-new-uniforms-and-a-jumbotron/ Looks like they're talking about changing some of the secondary logos (or maybe the primary - which would be surprising but Brett doesn't seem to rule it out anywhere), the road uniforms (I had heard rumors of them changing the shade of blue and getting rid of the red numbers - which would be awesome). Also looks like there are plans to put a screen where the Toyota sign currently resides. I do wish they'd get rid of the pinstripes and go with an all white look at home, but if the throwbacks are like that, I guess I'd be good with that.

Not really a suggestion...just wondering if there are any plans to acknowledge the site's 10 year anniversary and curious as to when it actually is. Can't believe I've been on here as long as I have. Also freaks me out that the 03 season was a decade ago.

@M_Montemurro: For those who picked Castro to get the first#Cubs hit, you win. He doubles to left-center field.

I don't think we have a thread for this, and we might as well. http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-biz-0219-cubs-20130219,0,7523734.story I really hope they've explored buying themselves out of that CSN deal, although I can't even fathom how much that would cost. I can't imagine all of the things we've heard about them preparing for their own network is for 7 years down the road. In the last few days, I've read that they've gone as far as to have content filmed for a Cubs network (interviews or something with major former players). I mean, ultimately, I guess I don't care how long it takes to get the Cubs network thing going (if at all) if they're getting much closer to fair market value in the meantime.

It's that time again. Anyone going? I usually look forward to some posters posting recaps of the different talks and such. Also really looking forward to the renovation plans being unveiled.

I figured it could use its own thread given how dead this subforum has been. Stealing a transcript from a commenter on Bleacher Nation. http://www.bleachernation.com/2013/01/03/draft-changes-and-unintended-consequences-and-other-bullets/comment-page-1/#comment-204151 Really seems to sound like he was alluding to Bourn. Could he be referring to anyone else in that way? Also, even a year later, it's so refreshing to hear things like the bold out of our front office.
