Saying all kinds of awesome Theo things. First talked about his charity deal at Metro this week. Raving about Castro's defensive improvement. Talking about the kind of relentless hitters he wants up and down the lineup, making pitchers work hard, etc. Says Rizzo is almost ready. They asked him directly if it was about team control, but he dodged that part. Said they want guys to have a full year at each level. Talking about his high maintenance swing and how he has "found some rhythm to his load" and improved his mental approach. I'll post the podcast/link as soon as it's up.

For those unfamiliar with it, basically they get writers from BP to do a Q&A, also usually have some top-level person from the GM's office join. I think Friedman or another top guy was at the Rays event, assistant GM or scouting director was at the A's. Pretty self explanatory. Maybe this has been done. I feel like it may have been broached but for a site with as many sabr-smart members as we have, we don't seem to discuss the topic itself that much except within certain discussions/arguments. (i.e. I learned a lot about the $ value of WAR in the Pujols/Fielder discussions this offseason). Would be cool to have maybe some FAQ's or just an area to discuss the stuff on its own. It actually occurred to me because I was looking for somewhere to ask when/how the fielding WAR numbers (specifically, Fangraphs) began to be calculated/posted.

I was 11. Went with my dad and brother. Dad got tickets through work. I didn't care much about baseball yet. It wasn't until 95 that I really became a fan. So, if you haven't been paying attention, the Reds had been stretching Chapman out to give him a run as a starter. And not that ST stats should count for much, but he was pretty much dominant. 4 starts, 17 IP, 1.12 WHIP, 2.12 ERA, 18K and 2BB. Because we all know a very good starter belongs in the bullpen in favor of trash. The same Billy Bray, BTW, who in 2011 held LHB to .180/.265/.292 and in 2010 held them to .106/.208/.298. My fantasy team says [expletive] you, Dusty.
