I want to say it was later like 2008 or 2009. I was at the Cincinnati game that we clinched the division. Fans stayed after the game waiting for the Brewers to lose for the clinch. We were singing it then and I remember it being a relatively new thing. it was definitely there for 08. and i'm almost 50/50 on whether it was around in 07, but i'm leaning toward yes.

does anyone remember what season the go cubs go thing started? i think it was sometime between the 03-04 teams and the lou teams. i know back in the 90s they used to play "walkin on sunshine" or "get down tonight" after the last out of wins
