  1. i want this guy to be awesome so fuckign bad. starters who throw gas like that are so fun.
  2. i've done a complete 180 from where i was when he was in the minors...moving KB off 3B the majority of the time would make me sad
  3. it occurred to me to bring up lasky but i didn't want to bring the college years into this but horsefeathers i didn't realize it was him in BCS...never put 2 and 2 together
  4. Jessie over Kelly times 1000. no horsefeathering way just no
  5. so i missed a lot of last night's game and i just saw the ball bryant hit...umm he looked like he popped it up and it went like 410 to center
  6. that doesn't matter if the same guys are playing... Yeah I misspoke really, what I meant is I'd rather have Baez's defense at 2b, Bryant is more than capable at 3b, and Zobrist is fine in the outfield. I think the Baez > Zobrist at 2b is more valuable than Baez > Bryant at 3b, but we're still trying to gauge Bryant as a major league third basemen really. No, we're really not. He's a very good one. And I was one of the longest to hold out. Just ask Tim and Gilby.
  7. We're the Warriors of baseball. Or 96 bulls.
  8. maybe lackey is jessie's step brother, eric
  9. if rizzo were zach and belding were theo, we could call the red sox JFK junior high and francona miss bliss theo as mr belding is a huge reach, though.
  10. [tweet] [/tweet]
  11. [tweet] [/tweet]miggy with the sweet hashtag
  12. i grew up watching cartoons and saved by the bell (i THINK...this is like 1992-93 i'm talking about) after school on WPWR a friend of mine once won the huffy bike they gave out if you were the 50th caller to 591-5050
  13. Is this implying that the Cubs fans are bandwagoners? If so, that's an awfully rich claim on a night when the paid attendance was 18,000 last night. When is the last time the Cubs had a paid attendance of 18,000? The 80s? Probably at some point in the late 90s (wasn't the Wood 20K game a sparsely attended one?), but your point is well-made nonetheless. We did have a game in those dark dark days of 2013 (September vs the Marlins) that got as low as 20,696. I wonder if that's the lowest since 2000 or maybe early in 01...I'm guessing the tide officially turned on that in like 01.
  14. maddon says he's not playing tonight
  15. I already made fun of it in general baseball. run differential isn't a factor at all in the actual RPI ranking (even though they show run differential), i'm almost positive. it's just based on who you beat and the phillies just swept the nationals a few days ago. edit - i worded that poorly. not who you beat, but who you've played. the phillies have a good record and have played a bunch of games against good teams like the nationals and the stupid mets.
  16. You shut your dirty whore mouth right now. What's Nate Schierholtz up to these days?
  17. Ryan Kalish is back [tweet] [/tweet] I kinda want us to bring back one of those crappy random 2012-2014 players once a week to get to enjoy this for a week. Not because I think they deserve it or anything, but just because it's kinda funny. EXCEPT Lillibridge. horsefeathers that guy. Let's do Joe Mather next.
  18. i bet you he is. he's one of those zobrist types and is also in charge of the team. at least, that's the sense i get from cardinal fans.
  19. I didn't read the whole thing, but as far as reasons for a minister getting fired, that's on the pretty tame side. i honestly didn't read any of it. it was more about the fact that matheny seems to be forcing this (or at least to some extent compelling them to attend) on the team and the cardinals seem extra preachy (for lack of a better term) even by baseball standards. i mean, how many teams even do THIS much? i certainly don't hear of much of it with the Cubs (nor have i over the years). it's just weird, especially if/when there are players of a different religion who don't have their boss/employer "offering" something like this. and i thought this picture was funny, especially the 2-3 guys who look like they're hungover and have no interest in being there http://bloximages.newyork1.vip.townnews.com/stltoday.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/4/0a/40a52a57-8f24-59b6-bdbd-0999788d33c2/56c9fb5ce1d92.image.jpg?resize=1200%2C656
  20. what drives me more crazy is the arbitrary nature of the notifications on the likes. i have no idea why certain ones notify me and most don't.
  21. Does for me on Chrome. I'm guessing you're hovering over the heart and not the name since you're Derwood and you don't read things. I read "number" not "name" lmao at me yeah i have no idea why i typed name, but yeah, number.
  22. You just hover over the number; it says who liked the post. Doesn't work for me on Chrome Does for me on Chrome. I'm guessing you're hovering over the heart and not the number since you're Derwood and you don't read things.
