I'm not sure why you're so upset. That was ridiculously close and like somebody else already said, I don't think they'd have changed the call on the field if they'd called him safe to begin with. Simmer down. I don't think it was close at all. You can clearly see when the glove makes impact and it's after the foot hits the bag...to me, it's hovering over Rizzo's leg before that. That's obviously my interpretation, but I'm kinda surprised that people even think it's close. I'm not upset. We're winning 2-0 and we're 20-6. I do, however, hate that call.

Short-sighted executives who want to make a splash. $/WAR is not perfect, but Werth has been worth $94.7M so far in his time with the Nats (despite a few major injuries). He'll have been paid $101M when he finishes this year. Yeah, they'll probably end up with some negative value out of this year and next, but it's not even close to being some colossal disaster.
