  1. Right side, which to me would imply around the obliques or thereabouts
  2. He's been playing extremely well since he was called back up. apparently made some adjustments down there. .289/.392/.535 in 167 PA with a 14.4% BB rate but 32.9% K rate....395 wOBA 145 wRC+ .418 babip tho. plays very good defense too
  3. Well, that K rate is still lower than when he was awful in 2014 and if thats him at his worst thats really not too bad without really looking into it, if i had to guess, it's mostly a product of joe playing him more for his defense and not shielding him from matchups as much as when his offensive numbers looked OK
  4. you are taking my post very seriously (even though 12-4 is far from unheard of) I mean, yea, i'm responding to 105 wins as a target with what we need to get there. :dontknow: I wasn't inferring that you were going to burst into flames if we didn't get there if that's what you mean. Just boardin' on a message board. it was a silly throwaway post (despite the fact that it is far from impossible)

  6. nice round 105 or bust With our JV lineup I'm not sure we get to that. nonsense and it's not like this is going to happen that often
  7. this reminds me of when gronk tweeted about his mom's Sue flay
  8. wish we could've gotten rich hill or called up murton or something so we could have our random ex cub from years before quota in (or bring dero or TRL out of retirement or something) like glanville
  9. I love Lester but your mileage may vary
  10. Team is at least top five in the league at EVERY horsefeathering FACET of the game I wish I could somehow take all of it less for granted Oh and all but like two players have plus plus likability Team is perfect I honestly never thought I'd see a team that won with more ease than the 08 team and this one makes it look almost amateurish. I mean, the 15 team was on their level. For a long time I thought that 08 team was everything.
  11. Anti-climactic and as forgone a conclusion as it may have been, I figured this was a thread worth making. We don't get many of these, but I have a feeling that'll be changing very soon. Let's enjoy this for a few weeks before the playoffs, whatever they might bring, which will no doubt be amazingly awesome. This team exhibited absurd levels of dominance for the vast majority of this season. Five run wins are and were routine. This is the best Cubs team anybody alive has ever seen. I just wish it didn't have to end.
  12. i'm sad i had a chance to be there and in wrigleyville for the postgame. instead we'll get some BS anti climactic clinch after a loss and then a celebration i can't be around for, possibly following a loss again like last year. ugh.
  13. they're still trying to find the best role for him. so far the role in which he has look best is "not pitching in the baseball game." He's largely looked good as a starter, but it's a nice hot take. Lol seriously.
  14. not any different than it's been for weeks
  15. usually can't stream with the in flight wifi (outside of their own streaming content that they have).
  16. lol this is a terrible analogy
  17. If you hold your 5th starter to the same standards you hold your #1 starter, you're gonna have a bad time. Which is basically what goony said in the link I posted (that they should all be held to the same standard).
  18. then you'll probably be even more surprised that he went 2/4 with a R and RBI against us in the 07 playoffs
  19. i was trying to find the video where motte yells "NO GOGGLES KELLY LET IT BURN" or something like that
  20. It'll be owned by the Ricketts family. which also means the cubs won't have anything to do with it. i believe kenney has stated at one point or another that the money will be put back into the team, but that since it's a separate entity, it won't have to go through the revenue sharing stuff and maybe whatever the covenant restrictions were with the debt obligations? i could totally be pulling out of my ass and i'm definitely speaking out of turn, as i have no idea about any of that stuff...just a vague recollection of what was said. i think kenney said the same about the ricketts owned rooftops.
  21. a lot of it
