  1. http://www.newyorker.com/news/sporting-scene/the-most-pleasing-campaign-of-2016 Stumbled onto this on facebook and didn't recall seeing it posted before. I haven't read a word, so I have no idea if it's good. Can't right now. Maybe someone else can let us know if it's worth reading
  2. didn't need to click that link to know who superdude was
  3. The Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen?
  4. haha did you guys remember we signed shane victorino this year? because i sure didn't.
  5. claims of holding back, etc. are [expletive]. players aren't like that They may not be holding back, but they may not be 100% mentally in the game either, which I think was exactly what Arrieta/Montero were complaining about. It's tough to have that mental and competitive edge right now, especially when Joe is trying to rest guys. yup. that's literally what they said.
  6. what? claims of holding back, etc. are [expletive]. players aren't like that it's a week's worth of games where they have nothing to play for. it's a team that is going to approach 105 wins. i couldn't care less what anybody does in these games and it's going to mean virtually nothing in a week, short of a pitcher's arm actually arm falling off or some injury. by the same token, you really shouldn't feel any better about next friday if they win the next 4 games by 4-5 runs each on the backs of their good players.
  7. that phrasing suggests you think this is going to get worse ha
  8. HAHAHA that's horsefeathering great
  9. to kinda sorta go along with that, i still don't get why certain likes notify me and certain ones don't. is there any rhyme or reason (even if it's a glitch that's not worth fixing)
  10. Apparently Terry Collins is considering starting Syndergaard Sunday (for HFA in the Wild Card Game!) so two starts in the NLDS isn't out of the question yet. I just refuse to believe he'll be allowed to do anything that stupid even if he winds up wanting to, so I won't acknowledge that as a possibility.
  11. unless cueto is hurt. then i take that back. then it's like facing shark or someone twice.
  12. it's funny... a month or two ago i was saying the only two teams i wanted to avoid were stl and nym. now i'm rooting for them both.
  13. We're a 4 game winning streak against the Pirates and Reds away from a 105 win season. Do that, please.
  14. oh man i would love that 4:30 start so much but you're probably right Guess you're rooting for the Dodgers to get home field over the Nats. Cubs will definitely have the earlier games if MLB can put LA in the late start. Oh, wow. I didn't even realize that was still in play.
  15. Mets are now 94% to take a wild card and have a magic number of two. Looks like a pretty safe bet we won't have to face Thor twice in the NLDS, at least. Anyone know how the GIants rotation situation is lining up?
  16. Go ahead and reshuffle. Then ride The Logan wave.
  17. HAHAHA ok i'll take wasting a leadoff triple that would've tied the game late in a tight race
  18. horsefeathering kolton wong and horsefeathering reds bullpen
  19. a dong would be glorious rightnow
