  1. Really? I've heard nothing but horror stories about Stubhub cancelling orders and only offering a small amount in compensation (aka not enough to purchase tickets to that game). Of course on the internet you are probably more likely to hear the bad stories than the good ones. mdwilla, I would probably keep calling back and seeing if you can get a stubhub rep that is particularly sympathetic and generous. Short of that, I'd cause a stink on social media and see if it gets you anywhere. I know that my nephew recently had a positive experience with them on the Chance The Rapper show. Some sort of mixup that got his order canceled. StubHub came through with upgraded tickets for his whole group.
  2. It would be the players' priority, if anything. And it makes sense that his public position on it is against. I'm hoping the players win on it.
  3. if it weren't for the chili tangent, i don't think this thread would've made it past page one
  4. i was there too...last row of the 500s. it's funny how many of us were there. weather was insanely amazing too. too bad the game was awful.
  5. everyone talking about the warning track flies on sunday, but what about rizzo's foul ball. holy horsefeathering horsefeathers!
  6. Would take 3-1 for the suicidal thoughts for me. But yeah I was just thinking about how the next three days are either going to be glorious or misery.
  7. [tweet]https://twitter.com/benzobrist18/status/788168992372383744[/tweet]
  8. They're already mentally in the offseason, probably going to hit the beach tomorrow afternoon. Probably already booked their flights home. HAR HAR
  9. oh my god this narrative about the cubs offense struggling in the playoffs is the weirdest thing [tweet] [/tweet] this exchange about sums up the insanity
  10. i had to google to figure out what pre-game they could even talking about
  11. I think he picked the giants so maybe it's a lost bet or something
  12. Glad I wasn't the only person insanely confused by the jags reference
  13. i need to stop relying on booze to get me through these games. i'm so exhausted.
  14. Soler is bad defensively and probably worse than a healthy Schwarber, but the last page or so definitely proves it can be overstated. Especially in this case where he can easily be pulled after his 2nd/3rd at bat to minimize time in the field. Soler is so bad that you have to qualify that Schawber's ACL would be in tact for the purposes of this comparison exercise. lmao
  15. In between 2 month stints on the DL, sure, maybe. But the fact that we may as well play with 2 OF and a broom with a glove on it propped up in LF when he's out there sort of matters. I think that's overstating Solers defensive deficiency. He's better than Schwarber was defensively and has a solid throwing arm. He's no Heyward but nobody is. Nah. Soler is really really bad defensively. There's no overstating it.
  16. i miss you so much jay http://cdn1.sbnation.com/imported_assets/1260879/bearstd.gif http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/1348755/nomothshere_medium.gif
  17. ha ha ha this is so bad
  18. i don't even know what this means he's been fine for a backup. he's not better than jay. That's [expletive] crazytalk. Not that he's better than Jay, but that he's been fine for a backup. he's racked up yards while losing against mostly bad defenses while facing no pressure and scoring few points
  19. Hoyer's not a great playmaker, but i dont know what else you can ask for. He's been good. i don't even know what this means he's been fine for a backup. he's not better than jay.
