  1. I know this is a jokey post but... StubHub is an official partner, so I'm sure there will be some sort of mobile transfer option when you put those barcodes in (or for STH, I'm guessing it'll still all be automatic).
  2. [tweet] [/tweet] I wonder what the banner will be like...I'm thinking it might go up on the exterior, maybe on the west side by the plaza? Not really sure where it could go inside of Wrigley aside from those lame little flags along the upper deck. I guess they could do something along one of the walls in the field like some teams do. Guess we'll see. [tweet] [/tweet]
  3. They will have mobile ticketing now through the at bat app, however. [tweet] [/tweet] Hopefully they improve the cell coverage around the park during games, or else this might turn into a [expletive]. Obviously, you should be able to load stuff before you get there, but GL expecting everyone to have the foresight to do that while they're getting drunk before the game. My data coverage in or right by Wrigley during games has sucked just about regardless of provider (like so bad that I can't even load Tweets or a simple web page). Also, if they actually did this, I can't imagine what it would do to the STH base. Expecting them to use or give away all tickets to 81 games would drastically change who owning ST would make any sense for.
  4. They should receive the harshest penalty MLB can handout. I want a forfeiture of their first 3 draft picks for 2017, the first 2 for 2018, and their 1st in 2019 with corresponding financial penalties. Their 1st round draft pick should go to the Astros in 2017 with the rest distributed to the teams in the NL Central. I horsefeathering hate the Cardinals with a white hot passion. I hate everything about the from their stupid red uniforms to their smug, stupid, hillbilly fans all wearing red to the game. They're all a bunch of horsefeathers nuts. However as much as it pains me to write, they've made some pretty good moves this offseason and I expect them to be right there with the Cubs. nahhhhh
  5. their podcasts are just the regular shows in podcast form anyway doesn't really change your point at all Columbus hosts make separate podcasts outside of their daily shows and it still doesn't change or belie his point at all JUST SAYING
  6. their podcasts are just the regular shows in podcast form anyway doesn't really change your point at all
  7. There's some pretty great stuff on the Cubs and on mlb snapchat right now from the convention where they were wearing these snapchat glasses that record video
  8. No 2017 Heyward will double down on 2016 Heyward. Schwarbers knee will implode. Montogmery will be second half Hammel all year and Rizzos tiny face will shrink into itself. Enjoy 2016 guys. You can tell your grandkids on your deathbed about the last time the Cubs won the WS in 2016, 100 years ago (medical advances will keep us all alive that long) i thought you were gonna go on to follow up all that stuff with "so they only win 97 games and a world series"
  9. CJ busting out big poppa as his 2017 walkup music and if jon jay is gonna use PSA as his walkup music, i think i'll like him
  10. has brian mcrae come to these before? i don't recall seeing him...he was my favorite player when i first started watching the cub. also thelogan hates him
  11. WTF CSN audio on the montage is completely out
  12. Because the Cubs would pay him a lot of money and he would play a lot of baseball on a team that will win a lot of games. What kind of question is that? You act as though he was abused or something. If he can't get what he wants in free agency from another team, and so far he obviously hasn't, then why wouldn't he sign up for that? seriously. wtf? i'm pretty sure that if we gave him a reasonable offer, he'd come running. i think if anyone doesn't have interest, it's on the Cubs' end (but i'm not even sure that's the case anyway).
  13. I think that bridge has been burned, pissed on, and shot into the sun by not exercising his cheap team option and granting him a chance at free agency?
  14. plz come back jason hammel
  15. [tweet] [/tweet] behind as usual?
  16. [tweet] [/tweet] moreso than the tweet, i'm laughing at the idea that matt adams expects people to recognize him from any other random big fat redneck from the Appalachians
  17. i would not attend for free but i do like watching the coverage on TV and i like the flurry of cubs news in mid january every year
  18. closest thing i have to that hot dog deal is this dive bar we hit when we're walking around and they have a deal for a hotdog and a crappy beer (michelob iirc) for like $2 it's called the stage door and it has the strongest cigarette smell i've ever encountered
  19. My favorite book right now is either Caesar's or Mirage. Wynn's is nice too. The new poker room at Encore has a sportsbook window, so I will probably be spending a lot of time there the next time I go. :-" Like I said Bally's isn't going to win any awards for being the nicest/most up to date but it gets the job done for me for the reasons I mentioned. I was out there over Thanksgiving and spent nearly my entire time in there over 4 straight days. I've never been to the Mirage's book but have been to Caesar's and the Wynn's. I like both as both are really nice, just find Caesar's can get way too crowded and the Wynn is a little bit out of the way for me typically with where I stay. The sportsbook window at the poker room could get a little dangerous, but sounds like a nice set up. I'm thinking of going out there for 2-3 days during Super Bowl week to make some bets (like Tue-Thursday, I did it last year and it was fun to get on some of the props and what not) then the next trip for sure for me will be in July during NBA Summer League. Definitely agree that they get crowded...Mirage does too. You have to get there early (or pay out the ass for a reserved seat which I won't be doing), but that seems to be the case for every book I pass by on an NFL Sunday.
  20. I find sports radio a decent way to pass the time while at work or driving as long as they aren't talking about teams I care about. Then their universally terrible arguments and opinions are more amusing than infuriating. as glowing as the score is about the cubs and everything they do (even before they got the radio deal) i don't think it would irritate you too much.
