  1. That reads like he thinks Chicago is on ET. yep lol
  2. He seems entirely adequate out there Yeah, I mean, he's not going to catch anything especially difficult and he will look bad at times due to his build/lacking athleticism, but it's not like i cringe when the ball is hit to left. i expect him to catch what he should and surprise us with some that he shouldn't here and there.
  3. yes yes ruffle the feathers [tweet] [/tweet]
  4. especially funny how quick on the trigger he was considering the off day in between
  5. So far he has a positive UZR/150 in LF (0.7) in 154 innings For his career he's a light negative as an outfielder at -1.9 in 471.1 innings
  6. [tweet] [/tweet] MIC DROP!
  7. [tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet] if this is actually true, what are the ramifications of this for the bears, people who pay more attention to this crap than me?
  8. check out what len says in that first arrieta boston clip as he's talking about pedroia lol (bonus clip of him striking out that horsefeathers ross in there)
  9. The Chicago Cubs had a 2014 season? I remember Iowa and Tennessee playing baseball that season, but not the Cubs. yeah...some fun stuff happened, some that had direct/indirect impacts on the cubs' resurgence
  10. yep mostly what i remember about 2014 was the emergence of god mode jake...i think he almost threw a no hitter the start before that almost no no in boston too. then baez call up, which was super exciting at first with that series in colorado and then sad. then soler came up and for the month of september you started to see it turn, which is funny since a big part of that was jorge who wound up sucking. that series in st louis when he just wrecked them (len saying how you could collectively sense the cardinal crowd going "WHAT was THAT after soler's second massive dong) after also hitting a dong in his first AB vs cincy. but i just remember starting to feel what halfway decent and fun baseball felt like to watch again in september (then i think rizzo and castro got hurt which put a bit of a damper on it)
  11. gotta love that we are this hard to beat even on an annoyingly bad luck with RISP night where our starter is uncharacteristically bad too
  12. god damnit i hate when zobrist does that stupid horsefeathers
  13. i know it's vs a lefty but damn PROVE ME WRONG JAVY
  14. please just run into a mistake or something
  15. please for the love of god do not let baez hit in the 9th
  16. This could be fun. Didn't some player, maybe Ian Desmond, do this at some point during the decade? not sure. i remember guys ditching switch hitting but can't remember any picking it up off the top of my head
  17. What if Bizzaro Left-handed Javy was super patient and didn't swing at bad pitches? haha also, iirc, i even think at some point he said his natural throwing hand was lefty but he switched so he could play infield
  18. if javy is really ambidextrous (says he is and says that's why he can tag like that) i kinda feel like he should give switch hitting a try. not like he can be much worse vs righties anyway.
