  1. I think they confused rim protection with just being tall. Replacing Tristan Thompson with Drummond and DJJ with Gallo is probably a net gain, but it probably takes them from 6th seed to.......a 6th seed that clinches a couple days earlier. I mean, health is obviously the million dollar question with this team. They were one of the best teams in the NBA (and the analytics backed it) when they were healthy. They lost arguably (is it even, really?) their two most important defensive players right when their schedule was getting to its toughest point. With those guys they were one of the best defensive teams in the league, disrupting passing lanes and causing constant havoc. Without them, what was arguably their biggest strength turned into a huge weakness. On top of that, their second best player was playing through an injury all year. Remains to be seen if some semblance of a healthy season is in play for those guys, particularly Lonzo, but if it is, this is team is better than that. They were a 6th seed with all that crap happening. EDIT - Also, I, personally, have major doubts about Patrick Williams but plenty of people (people who know a lot better than I do) believe there's something there. If there is and he's capable of taking a leap and putting some of his freak attributes to use, all bets are off.
  2. Ted Karras - https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/ted-karras/10855 Alex Cappa - https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/alex-cappa/66578 La'el Collins - https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/lael-collins/9719 https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-most-improved-unimproved-position-groups-2022-nfl-free-agency but hey pull some more stuff out of your ass well, ok. Since you love pff so much, why are none of them here, while one of those they are replacing is(?): https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2022-nfl-free-agency-rankings-offensive-tackles well, collins wasn't available until march and that was written in january and the other two guys aren't tackles
  3. all 3 were backups or cast off by their former team...its not like Cincy made huge strides there Ted Karras - https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/ted-karras/10855 Alex Cappa - https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/alex-cappa/66578 La'el Collins - https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/lael-collins/9719 https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-most-improved-unimproved-position-groups-2022-nfl-free-agency but hey pull some more stuff out of your ass
  4. Im rather skeptical that Cincinnati will ever make it back to the SB with their current build. Even with massive upgrades to the OL and skill players on offense, talent wise they would only start to be online with the together AFC leaders like Buffalo or KC. They were a fluke, and LA showed the world that in end uh they have joe burrow, joe mixon, ja'marr chase, tee higgins... tyler boyd is their 3rd best WR. what massive upgrades do they need to their skill players?
  5. i'm mostly checked out on this season and there was little they could've done to piss me off this much but this is it.
  6. You are devoid of human feelings none of us should care if the anti vax/qanon/flat earth/pizzagate whatever else idiot hurts his shoulder :dontknow:
  7. if i cared about andrelton simmons, i'd agree, but i don't.
  8. not really following this game but this is hilarious
  9. Yes, this is an extremely naive take. Rape is not about sex. Rape is about demonstrating power, a trait we encourage and prize in football players. Which is probably why football players being rapist is fairly common: https://www.nfl.com/news/kellen-winslow-ii-former-nfl-player-sentenced-to-14-years-in-prison-for-multiple https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/aug/18/former-nfl-star-darren-sharper-drugs-rape-jail-time Yup. The same goes for someone like Steve Wynn. Incredibly wealthy. Was as important as anyone in Las Vegas. He could have easily paid someone willing (especially in Nevada) to perform sex acts on him if that's what he wanted, but instead he pressured his employees to do it, and it's hard to argue that it would have been for anything other than for that same reason (displaying power). It has nothing to do with the sex or the ability to get it consensually. Louis CK's fucked up stuff too. The list of rich and powerful men who have done this sort of thing is practically endless and beyond well documented at this point. We can sit here and try to apply logic to these situations like "well i can't imagine why he would do that in his position" but it's pointless because these dudes are sociopathic monsters.
  10. horsefeathering derwood The point was dumb eh. your post was definitely dumber.
  11. if that includes that 21-0 game, the sample size is blown up No crap that’s the entire point of my post. The Cubs have blown the Pirates out 3 times by a combined 37-0 and lost to them 4 times by a combined score of 15-10. It’s strange and quirky. horsefeathering derwood
  12. You just killed my buzz. But looking at his minor league numbers prior to this start that seems spot on. Maybe we can trade him for a new Aramis. The part that killed my buzz was the "for those who remember him" line.
  13. Wow, has it been that long since the Bears had an "elite" rushing attack? :D not gonna lie that definitely crossed my mind
  14. Has it really been since 2017 since Sulley posted here?!! search.php?author_id=832&sr=posts holy horsefeathers
  15. ah so i'd file that under blogger/writer/whatever speculation and not actual rumors
  16. Where have you seen these rumors?
  17. Just took this excerpt from Greenberg's Athletic piece that describes what the incident was
  18. the tweet about him getting shoved into a locker was from a rando on twitter. it appears there was at least some truth to the tweet - whether or not the stuffing in a locker part was accurate. the sun times report about his throat being grabbed came out a little while ago today. i honestly couldn't tell if the tweet was a joke or not (before the sun times reported/confirmed the incident having been between kreutz and hoge) because it's entirely believable thing for olin kreutz to do and doing it over mustipher both reads like a joke (making fun of olin for the way he talks about mustipher) and like something olin kreutz is entirely capable of being a sensitive bully piece of horsefeathers about, because he is that much of a childish buffoon.
  19. Yea probably just sees that was the first O pick and called it the best lol
  20. I'm done with Ryan Poles
  21. i'm confused isn't that who he's talking about
  22. well that sucked on to the next one
  23. eh i agree with the overall sentiment (the coaching staff failed him hard) but i think nearly worthless is much too far. i feel much better going into year 2 with him having had several games at NFL speed under his belt going into this offseason than I would had he not played. he knows first hand what it looks like now.
  24. FWIW, the Bulls are currently +220 for the series and the Bucks are -270 on FanDuel. From what I heard Joe Ostrowski say on the radio a little while ago, 24 hours ago the Bucks were -3500. That means you had to bet $3500 on them to win $100, for the non-degenerates. +220 reflects approximately a 31-32% win expectancy. -270 reflects about a 72-73% win expectancy.
