What would the inherent advantage be? Nothing other than having a centralized location for all their operations and only one place for players to have to commute to. They're obviously not terribly far from each other (30-40 min drive, 25ish miles) but it just occurred to me when thinking of how the Bulls moved their operations near the UC from Deerfield. Way fewer games for the Bears, obviously. Having an even shinier and newer facility if they're investing all of this money anyway. I guess it's probably not worth wasting the land on a few practice fields, though.

So I know they just spent a ton of money modernizing Halas Hall, but it seems like it would make a lot of sense for them to have their practice facility in their Bears town, no? It would seem that there's more than enough room. I wonder if they're planning on staying in Lake Forest.

It's supposed to be like their own in house version of Hard Knocks (except even more propaganda-ey) I get that, which is largely why they kind of suck. By minute 8 I want a nap. I could see a 5 minute version being fine. Velus Jones’s toothbrush had a featured role in this thing. yeah, i get it. i eat up behind the scenes stuff like that but there is definitely a good amount of fluff in there. some of that stuff could stand to be in a supplementary video or something for the people who want it, and have the main episode be a more meat and potatoes-ey like 10ish minutes.

Yup. Fields was also decent against their defense last year, FWIW, even with the clown show negligent offensive coaching.

And why didn't Eberflus challenge the no catch before halftime? I think that was when it was. Said they basically just missed it.

The secondary is going to be a lot better. Mack only played in 7 games last year and Hicks played in 9. That's a loss but is being overstated as it relates to last year's defense. Eberflus's defenses have shown to perform better than their talent would imply (yes, I know that's very scientific). The "everyone hustle to the ball" thing is going to matter. I don't really care to put much effort into arguing about it, but if you want to wager on a top 10 DVOA finish, gentleman's or otherwise, I'd be happy to oblige :dontknow: top 10? $100 Lol it just occurred to you how this is such a win win for you because if you lose, it's so worth $100 to make 17 Sundays much more enjoyable. I should do the emotional hedge more often.

I really don’t understand this sentiment, which is admittedly shared by many. This defense is incredibly mediocre. A 4-3 cover 2 defense without a legit 3 technique and no playmakers at any level is goi g to struggle. This would be like post Tommie Harris decline with no Urlacher or Tillman. There’s been quite a few out there who see this defense as a house of cards. I think there’s way more downside than upside. Definitely a chance for bottom 3rd of the league, and with an offense that will not sustain long drives, these guys will be dragging by mid season. The secondary is going to be a lot better. I expect the defense to be better than last year. That list is horseshit. And they were 13th in DVOA last year. I expect them to be in the top 10 when all is said and done.

So this showed up on my YouTube suggestions and I was a little surprised to see this pairing, given the rumors about how they felt about eachother as teammates. Then I opened it up and immediately they're talking about how Urlacher saw Jay at Mar-A-Lago and how much Urlacher loves Trump.
