  1. yeah, he's not a dirtbag. just an idiot. but the rule is an idiot too. i mean weed is cool and all but i think it's fair to call risking/losing possible generational wealth over it enough to qualify as an idiot.
  2. The Cubs, when publicly speaking on this, continue to say that he's just not trusting his stuff enough and needs to stop nibbling. Bosio alluded to it just this morning, saying that he has a lot of movement and needs to stop trying to be so fine and throw it over the plate because it won't be easy to hit.
  3. Praise jeebus a real opening day
  4. Fuller this game. Over under on first rounders still standing Week 17? Cohen goes for 200 AP yards and a score, but I keep him on my fantasy bench again. Cohen was so impressive.
  5. Under Lovie, the Bears stressed takeaways to the point of downright silliness. It's all a combination of talent/scheme/coaching but they definitely wouldn't shut up about it as their main objective.
  6. He was hurt when he was drafted? Proof of this? This pick was just awful luck, period. It wasn't even considered a reach. I feel awful for White, too, but I didn't expect to get jack horsefeathers out of him. I figured him a bust last year when I actually saw him play.
  7. Can they bench this piece of garbage yet
  8. Bears rocking the blue on blue today apparently
  9. I'm both sick of Maddon and fully aware that there's probably not another manager I'd actually rather have.
  10. So amped about almora being in the lineup against a righty. His speed and range really paid off in cf on that bloop to shallow center earlier.
  11. Someone on the non-Cubs game thread was calling me an idiot but I still think the Cardinals win the division. I stopped listening to probability sites when the election happened. You're not crazy at all. On an unrelated note, please, please, please bet me on this.
  12. Why does Maddon always seem to bring Grimm in to turn an early manageable deficit into mop up?
  13. it's sad that out of all those unlikely things, glennon leading the team to TDs on the first 3 series is the least likely
  14. [tweet] [/tweet] good news
  15. how late and how big of a lead did the fried chicken and beer team have? it was, what, like 9 games around this time of year, right?
  16. DId Fox really say something along the lines of "If you hold the Falcons to around 30 points, you have a good chance to win"
  17. you're otherwise not a terrible poster but this is clearly a really large blind spot for you
  18. he's been hitting #2 all year and had awful schwarber hitting leadoff for like what, 1/3 of the year?
  19. Stop caring about this. I promise you, it's not actually a thing.
  20. it worked but throwing javy a fastball right down the pipe seems like a, uh, questionable choice there
  21. i haven't watched the entire game, but what i've seen has been mighty mighty annoying and of course it was that deadbeat scumbag braun who did the scoring for them
  22. i can't even remember the last time i looked at the rbi column, but since you guys are bringing it up (and i too was surprised his total was that low), while bryant's high leverage and RISP numbers are lower than his others, his BABIP in both scenarios is insanely low. (.156 in high leverage, and .211 w/RISP). i don't know how much of that comes down to quality of contact, and i have neither the motivation or the energy to look, but either way those are crazy low.
