  1. derwood gonna derwood tho
  2. it's basically just an incomplete parroting of the same stuff that's been out there west coast (and maybe the cubs since they haven't been ruled out)
  3. He didn't even have accuracy problems today. 12-for-15 and at least one of the three incompletes was a drop. I might have missed a play here and there, but the only inaccurate throw I can remember was the one on the "free play" when there was a penalty and he tried to force in an 8-yard curl. That's also the only bad decision I really remember. It's hard to give him a full evaluation when he only throws 15 passes, but this was the best he's looked so far. Mitch was great today outside of the fumbled snap. And you're right, 1 bad decision and it didn't count. He did have another inaccurate throw for 1 of his incompletions, but I got no complaints about Mitch today. Definitely wasn't the problem. It's pretty amazing, the Bears finished today (if you take out the QB scrambles) 15 passes and 15 run plays. So, they actually called 22 passes (4 scrambles, 2 sacks, 1 fumbled snap). Yet somehow, Mitch was only 2-3 passing on 1st down, with one of those coming on a throwaway play on the last play of the first half. Take out the fumbled snap and a scramble, and Loggains again called 5 passing plays of the 14 first down plays. On those 9 runs, the Bears averaged 2.8 yards per carry. Of those 26 yards on 1st down runs by the RB, 1 was 14 yards. The other 8 runs got 12 total yards. So, the Bears were already behind the 8 ball (the 8 1/2 yards to go ball) when they let Trubisky throw. I feel like that's how it's been for just about all of his starts, and even more exaggeratedly so in the first few.
  4. well this is great news
  5. As was mentioned it was stupid New York “small market” talk since everyone other than them is a peasant in their head. The remaining markets so far are Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, LA, San Diego and Dallas. Those are all large markets. Do you think the Phillies got a formal rejection or did they just figure the interview the other day would suffice?
  6. I'm going to kill you
  7. Just get Theo in a horsefeathering room with him, that’s all I ask Hasn't Theo already been in a room with him, though? Didn't most teams schedule meetings with him in LA this weekend? I'm sure Theo and Jed met Ohtani and his agent when the Cubs did their presentation. He hasn't allowed teams to meet with him, I don't think. He's narrowing his list to the teams that he'll meet with.
  8. even if fangio won the last 4 games it wouldn't be all that hard to move on from a PR standpoint
  9. another gem from our resident lunatic [tweet] [/tweet]
  10. lol here's this guy again this is that weirdo that does nothing but complain on bears, bulls, and cubs twitter right? with the "This is fine" av? yeah, has to be this guy [tweet]https://twitter.com/jamfan40/status/937425024977432576[/tweet] check out this guy's feed bonus [tweet] /status/906992528225861632[/tweet] edit - fun things about this tweet: he called the 2017 cubs the most hateable and embarrassing cubs team in 40 years. this team won their division fairly easily and went to the NLCS. he said the 2004 cubs won 90+ games (they didn't) he said the 2017 cubs would win 85 games...he said this in mid september. the cubs won 92 games.
  11. is it worse than trestman's? because that was pretty bad
  12. fox's turn the game into a boring but close low scoring slop fest strategy doesn't even work against a 1 win team lmfao
  13. lol here's this guy again this is that weirdo that does nothing but complain on bears, bulls, and cubs twitter right? with the "This is fine" av?
  14. lol at the announcers acting like this is exciting
  15. i know this is semi ironic after my replies to derwood, but one thing i'll never understand is going to away games (even if you're a transplant) to watch your team when it's one of the worst in the league...especially to a cold weather city (admittedly today is pretty perfect by december standards)
  16. tarik cohen is lathered up
  17. most of our good defensive players are out or gimpy cohen hahahahahah
  18. Shaheen with only 3 snaps in the first half If he's not hurt, that is brutally stupid. I don't care how bad he might look in practice (if that's even the case). He has impressed as a blocker and has flashed some receiving ability. Why the horsefeathers wouldn't you let him play at this point?
  19. Jimmy G + a big money extension? What we did.
  20. yes why would anybody want to watch their favorite team's #2 overall pick starting qb when they could be doing...something... on a sunday at noon how is pure bandwagon/fairweather fanning even fun? do i gain interest/excitement when my teams are good? sure, but i never completely go dark on them. It’s not fairweathering when you know the team is garbage from the start. I want them to be good, but I’m not going to invest three hours every weekend to watching them suck. I barely watched the 2013 or 2014 Cubs either are you wearing this as a badge of pride or something? and how is that not fair-weathering? lmao that's literally the definition of fair-weathering. i'm not going to begrudge you your right to do that or say i'm a better fan than you. do you. i did watch the 2013 and 2014 cubs (and 2012) and got enjoyment out of watching baseball and watching rizzo develop, baez, hendricks, and soler come up and arrieta turning into a franchise altering talent. i also knew they were going to be a lot better in 2015 than people expected (not saying it's because I watched those things, but it didn't hurt). just because you don't enjoy watching things like this despite losing doesn't mean other people don't.

  22. Boomer, Simms, and Cowher dropping some serious praise on Mitch during halftime (talking about his arm, accuracy, throwing lasers into tight windows). Not sure how I feel about that.
