    relatively young offensive mind. i'm good with it. of the reported names he was prob my 2nd choice. I've agreed with those ranking DeFilipo 1 and Nagy 2 with reasons to flip that order, as rawaction explained well earlier. Fangio staying obviously makes a big difference, hopefully that pans out. I could see him wanting to stay with what he's helped build, and of course $$$. Never know after being passed over for HC. Anyways, I'm not saying anything enlightening here. This hire sounds promising. It'll be interesting to see if Nagy calls the plays any word out there on his potential OC? i can't imagine that he wouldn't call the plays it occurred to me that maybe flip could be brought in as OC, but i can't see the eagles letting him leave for an OC gig.

    So apparently arrietas most interested suitors right now are the cardinals and cubs I wasn't one of the people who hated him but I really don't want him back

    It’s a misleading title in a transactions thread. $20 says Derwood has been tricked at least 3 times seeing this thread bumped and thinking he is signing with the Mariners Derwood is one of those people getting into arguments in FB/article comments after reading only the click bait headline

    i've read/heard some horrendous things on mcdaniels the last few days. players almost universally saying they hated him and playing for him (while still praising his x's and o's acumen).

    I'm somewhat confident in his ability to make this team a quality contender, but aware of his shortcomings to date. This is kinda where I am, maybe slightly more confident. I reserve the right to judge after this offseason which I'm viewing kinda sorta as the Cubs 2014-15 offseason (at least as much as you can apply baseball to this)

    horsefeathers. That. Not to be cynical or downplay Wilkes credentials, but I can't think of a widely talked about offensive coach who would have met the Rooney rule requirements (other than Shaw maybe, who isn't realistic IMO). So we were almost surely going to get a defensive coach interview with Wilkes or Austin or someone else if for no other reason than being the top minority candidates. Even the official recommended list was short on offensive minds among minority candidates. that was my first thought too but i felt like a jerk for thinking it
