  1. 5-6 years ago i would have been shocked to know this would be the reality, but i'd be even more shocked to know that it wouldn't even bother me that's actually not even close to being true
  2. this thing needs to end in another superbowl so we can end the 85 bears crap just like the goat and 69/84 angst crap.
  3. this is a funny blast from the past from the bears' first game under jauron w/crowton as OC http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/sports/nfl/longterm/1999/week1/articles/kansascitychicago.htm
  4. haha, urlacher was on the score telling a story about playing dodgeball with teammates and said jay cutty blasted him right in the chest

  6. Trestman failed because he was a huge weirdo and because he had the worst DC I've ever seen. I only learned after the Georgia/Alabama game that Mel Tucker was the DC for Georgia. How does he get any DC job anywhere after what he did to the Bears defense? i'd imagine almost anyone who has nfl experience is considered a huge get in a college coordinator role, plus college and pro are such different animals in every sport.
  7. I don't think Trestman failed because of lack of NFL coaching experience. Trestman had 17 years of NFL coaching experience, including 8 years as an Offensive Coordinator, before becoming the Bears HC. Kromer had 12 including a year as the Saints interim head coach while Payton was suspended. Mel Tucker had 9 including 6 as a coordinator and interim HC. Trestman failed because he was a huge weirdo and because he had the worst DC I've ever seen.
  8. Is it ownerships say or the park district? ownership. the park district would've done it years ago if the mccaskeys didn't insist on grass.
  9. Anyone think this new direction + Pace and Nagy can convince ownership to make the switch to FieldTurf?
  10. There's been some talk about Childress being brought on to be some part of the staff. I know he wasn't a great HC, but I wouldn't hate it. Childress himself didn't deny it on the Score this morning...when asked directly if there's any chance he'd come out of retirement to play a role on Nagy's staff, he said he'd let Nagy address that. Not exactly what I had in mind. But he's retired. Yeah...he made it sound like he'd be interested if Nagy offered him a position tho. I wouldn't want him having much say so but his experience (and familiarity/relationship with Nagy) could serve some sort of positive purpose, I guess.

  12. Nagy already said he'd be doing the playcalling.
  13. these are all from those later staffs, no? well idk about the london dude but rb coach so who cares
  14. this would definitely be a fun style of defense to watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ud1jedGOT8s&feature=player_embedded
  15. Hiring former Toub understudy Chris Tabor as ST coach yeah, the browns st sucked, but the browns roster was 0-16 bad so i'm pretty sure the bottom of their roster is especially god awful http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/ct-spt-bears-special-teams-chris-tabor-20180110-story.html
  16. lauri looks amped up for porzingis just posterized the hell out of kanter
  17. [tweet] [/tweet] this might just be the bears playing hardball w/fangio but i think i'd actually rather have him than fangio
  18. he's a goofy ginger https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ew2eU8wEQOA
  19. that goofy polite clapper nerd in the bottom right gets me every time
  20. that's actually a decent description by constable
  21. i can't stand grote so i don't really care either way i find his inflection and the way he exaggeratedly enunciates many words insanely grating. Agree. He has an incredibly annoying manner of enunciation. thank you. nobody ever agrees with me when i bring this up on here and it's so insanely glaring to me that i was starting to think i was taking crazy pills.
  22. i can't stand grote so i don't really care either way i find his inflection and the way he exaggeratedly enunciates many words insanely grating. i actually think i was confusing Zaidman and Dickerson from ESPN. is Dickerson the insanely meatbally dude that was one of the more irrationally anti-cutler guys out there? (i realize there's a lot of guys that fit that bill.) i do know zaidman's voice annoys me. yeah i think dickerson was meatbally on cutler looking back, though, i'm not so sure it was wrong to be meatbally on cutler (even though i love him and i don't think he was put in a great position to succeed). he was polarizing and the jerkiness/smart ass-iness that we all love rubbed a lot of teammates the wrong way (while others loved him). that said, if he'd been good enough, nobody would care. urlacher was an horsefeathers too.
  23. happ is the only one of those players that even slightly would hurt to get rid of, and if he produced like yelich (who i believe is under control thru 2021) i'd be ecstatic. i don't really care about almora nor do i care about any prospects in our crappy system.
