  1. Same team. It's just that it's in the process of running into a freight train. Kidding aside, I don't expect this game to continue so one-sided. Panthers are bound to do something.
  2. If someone would catch the ball There goes Moose's chance of getting signed by the Cubs :D Panthers take over. This is a key drive. We need to show the Bears that we aren't intimidated. Didn't do a good job of that.
  3. Honestly, I'd much rather have Hill starting everyday than Perez if/when we got rid of Walker. Of course, it'll never happen.
  4. I still think it'd be wishful thinking on our parts, but... http://www.nysun.com/article/23217 I found it interesting in light of this comment in today's Mike Downey column in the Tribune... http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/columnists/cs-051118downey,1,1416748.column?page=2&coll=cs-home-utility You would think if they were short of money, though, the last thing they'd want to get rid of is one of their biggest cash cows.
  5. Somehow, I don't think that'll be happening.
  6. Benson Update Sprained MCL Out 3-6 weeks http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/cs-051114bears,1,5128124.story?coll=cs-home-headlines
  7. They don't look that bad. They've had 2 field goal attempts. And the Niners won't come close to scoring unless they get Wade's help. That being said, i could see a 3-0 ending as well. Just thought I'd point out how prophetic this post was...
  8. Wilkerson in CF, Floyd in RF?
  9. And tied with the Giants at 6-3. If the Pack (fat chance, but they're up 14-0), Rams, and Jets (fat chance) can win, we'll be tied for the best record in the conference.. Of course, it probably won't matter once they hit the tougher part of the schedule, but you never know. If we can secure a first round bye, we'd have better odds of lucking into the SB... EDIT - also, as it gets later in the season, maintaining the lead is almost a victory in itself...Obviously, it'll get tougher and tougher to make up 2 games as we go deeper. I hope/expect we'll get to that New Year's game with more than a one game lead on the Vikes. next week begins the tough stretch for the Bears. We'll see how they come out against a good team like Carolina. The Bears have done what they needed to do though..beat the teams that they have to beat (with the exception of Cleveland). If they win 3 of their final 7, they have the division. Yep. I just wish they could go into that stretch with Rex taking the snaps. I think Orton is going to get exposed again against a good team like Carolina, just like he was against Cincy. Any chance Rex is off the inactive list for the TB game still, or is it pretty much looking like Green Bay?

  11. They do gain ground on the Giants for home field, though.
  12. Agreed.
  13. Yes, please. Why not go with Zoom? Or maybe Vasher?
  14. That's honestly almost nausea-inducing. :?: I think he means the orange uni's To which I still reply.. :?:
  15. Everytime they say Frank Gore, I think 'Franceur'..
  16. That's honestly almost nausea-inducing. :?:
  17. I disagree, but I guess we'll find out. I'm not sure about Lovie. But I'm almost positive that the offensive coaches know who the better QB is and want him in there. TOUCHDOWN BEARS!
  18. Actions speak louder than words. Turner's conservatism with the offense show that he doesn't have a huge amount of confidence in Orton. You can bet that the playcalling would be/will be entirely different with Rex in there. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when Ron watches the game film on Orton. You may disagree with me, but to me, there is honestly no doubt in my mind that the offense (players and coaches) would rather have Rex in there. We'll see if they have the courage to make the move when the time comes.
  19. Right knee sprain Looked worse than that. I'd say that's good news. We'll see. Early on they said Bradley was a knee sprain. Also said Grossman's was an ankle sprain initially.
  20. Any update on Benson? EDIT - Saying Knee Sprain Broken fibula for former Bear Tony Parrish
  21. Sadly, considering Phillips made these predictions, which might indicate he thinks it's the course of action that would make the most sense for the Cubs, I'd almost rather him be our GM right now. That is, if he really is thinking along those lines.
  22. I agree with snood. Not much interest in Mench from my end. People like his walk rates and his plate discipline and all that, but it has yet to translate to even a respectable OBP yet. Not interested.
  23. Sign Nomar, please... and if it backfires, Lugo please. I'd rather have him than Furcal anyway.
