  1. Yea, but at least he's wearing orange on his face. He's really a Bear fan at heart.
  2. You're looking at this all wrong. It's not a bad thing. Good for him. He finally made a good pick.
  3. Not looking good for him. Didn't practice today and will be a game time decision.
  4. Crap, now what am I going to watch? He's just kidding so thatthere will be less Bear fans rooting for them on TV. What's the deal with the picture of Boy George in your Avitar? Boy George? Everytime I take a quick glance at that picture it looks like the Boy. i just glanced, that looks like a woman to me To be fair, Boy George looks quite a bit like a woman too.
  5. Whenever I listen to Boers and Bernstein, I feel a lot better about this game.
  6. As long as the first tackler wraps up like he's supposed to.
  7. I'm pretty sure that they have every intention of using Soriano in the leadoff spot and they seem to have no desire to change that. I don't think Hendry is looking for a leadoff man. They gave him the money and are going to let him hit where he feels comfortable hitting. Does it make sense? Not really. But batting order doesn't matter all that much, anyway.
  8. Someone at here the office told me she got a high density tv this weekend.
  9. A late or early first round talent? I don't follow the minors or college all that closely. Is he a sure fire type guy, or just a guy who projects to be pretty good in a few years?
  10. I want our old Mark Prior back.
  11. I'd like to see this as well. Those Giants uniforms are pretty nifty. +2 This would look awesome.
  12. The defense shut down the opponents early in those 4 games, before taking big leads and playing prevent with 3rd stringers. Is this the fourth or fifth time in this thread that this point has been made? I forget.... Only two days away. Then this will all stop. It's only getting started. Next time we'll have 2 weeks to talk about it. Yeah, I said it...we will have two weeks to talk about the next Bears game. I won't be as unwilling to take the criticism at that point. I think both the AFC teams should be favored over the Bears on a neutral field. Not that I don't think the Bears could win, but I don't see them as favorites over the Colts or Pats.
  13. The defense shut down the opponents early in those 4 games, before taking big leads and playing prevent with 3rd stringers. Is this the fourth or fifth time in this thread that this point has been made? I forget.... And the funny thing is, the defense managed to shut those opponents down early with half of our secondary missing, not to mention one really, really bad defensive back (Hester) playing significant time in place of the injured players.
  14. For some reason, the team that is 5-4 in its last 9 games, 2-2 in its last 4, is considered by ESPN to be the team that is playing the best of late. I don't get it myself. I guess it has to do with the fact that they beat the then ESPN favorite, Cowboys, and the most recent ESPN favorite, Eagles. But we're talking about a team that's in the bottom half of the league in rushing yards per carry and per game. They are also at the bottom of the league in rushing yards per carry and game given up. They aren't on any sort of hot streak. The whole things seems to be based on the idea that they'll pass their way to glory against the team which has given up the fewest passing yards per attempt this year, and has allowed the 3rd worst QB rating. It's not that I can't see the Saints winning. They are good. They just aren't any reasonable person's idea of what a favorite should be. It's all hype and nonsense. QFT... I'm really hoping that we'll have a little luck on our side and have one of our 3 or 4 turnover games (which hasn't happened in a while), get a few short field or defensive scores so that the Bears wind up winning something like 31-17. It's certainly not the most unlikely thing in the world. If not that, at least a 10 pt win, just to make all of these idiots who think the Saints are clear favorites look like idiots. I realize that the game is a toss up going in. I just want the Bears to make the idiots in the media who don't realize this look really, really stupid. Obviously, I just want the Bears to win. But I would like it even more if the Bears would shove it down the whole country's throat. The Saints love is making me sick.
  15. The Score has been reporting that Rick DiMaio of Fox Chicago is forecasting a 100% chance that 2-3 inches of snow will fall on Sunday, either before or during the game. Basically, he's guaranteeing snow.
  16. I agree that his reluctance to run has to do mainly with the injuries. As for the speed up in your avatar, if you count off seconds with the game clock, it doesn't look like they sped it up too much, if at all. I think it just looks really fast because it's so tiny. Could be wrong, though.
  17. What!? Those jerseys ARE the Cubs. To me, the pinstripes have always been "the alternatives" (and fugly ones at that). . You're completely, utterly and totally wrong three different times in that statement, and on as many levels as is humanly possibly, plus a few made up just for kicks. QFT...
  18. Aren't they only a game behind? Cleveland at 23-15 Chicago at 23-17
  19. I don't know... if we held them to those numbers, which they are averaging on grass, I'd say we did our job as far as the run is concerned.
  20. The anticipation is killing me worse than for last week's game. I just want to see what's going to happen in this game. I'm both optimistic and pessimistic at the same time about this game...is that even possible??
  21. On grass: Deuce is averaging 17 carries, 62 yards, and 3.7ypc Bush is averaging 12 carries, 44 yards, and 3.6ypc In Dome: Deuce is averaging 16 carries, 76 yards, and 4.75ypc Bush is averaging 7 carries, 30 yards, and 3.8ypc In other words... Good in dome...bad on grass.
  22. I love how OMC keeps using yards and points with far more sophisticated and better metrics available. At the very least, try looking at those yards and points within the context of what actually was going on with the team. It's akin to saying that Kerry Wood sucks because he never won 15 games.
